We've stayed in many lagoon- and ocean-facing resorts on the Yucatan Peninsula over the past 20 years. This is among the very best. It features pristine, lagoon-facing cottages just a few Km off Hwy 307, kayaks for lagoon fun and plenty of beach chairs for total relaxation. Delicious meals may be ordered from the onsite restaurant and decent WiFi is...

Beautiful spot on the lagoon. Water was really warm and the place was like new. Our cabana was really nice. Not far off highway on a dirt road. About 3 miles. Food was good. Very quiet and relaxing. Worth it for the privacy.

I have to start by a very bad point: the signalisation of the hotel !!!!! When I book the hotel, I know it was not in Bacalar precisely, but I didn't know it would be so hard to find though ! Be aware that if you're coming by night, you won't see the little sign in the opposite of the...

Nov. 2, 2016- rainy season. This resort IS NOT in the town of Bacalar. This resort is at the northern tip of the lagoon, there is no highway signage for the resort either. Instead, be on the lookout for a bright blue banner strung up on the side of the highway that reads, "Bacalar Lagoon Resort", and turn down the...

I recently stayed at Bacalar Lagoon Resort as part of my trip to Quintana Roo Mexico. The cabanas are quite comfy, the food was excellent, and our host very pleasant and welcoming. The lake is fantastic: calm and crystal clear like a swimming pool. Sunrise over the lake is spectacular. Few resorts of this kind live up to the expectations...

Lake Bacalar in so beautiful. Clear waters to swim, snorkel and kayak. We rented a car at the airport and drove down. The drive was easy and...

We went as part of an excursion with family ranging from 13 years old to 75 everyone enjoyed. I would go back as a destination. The food, drinks and recreation were all very good. The lagoon is as picturesque as anything I have seen. Cant wait to go back in November.

My family ( two teenage sons included) and I recently visited Bacalar Lagoon Resort as part of a cruise excursion....best money ever spent! The grounds are pristine, the staff kind & exceptional. We enjoyed a great meal of chicken fajitas while we were there and drinks. We were only there for an afternoon, but the grounds were impeccable. We swam,...

If you don't mind the drive which seems like you are going nowhere off the main road the first Time you do it, then this is the place for you. The buildings are new, the setting is lovely, the host is amazingly accommodating, and the food was delicious. OUr casita near the water had good A/C, so we slept well,...

My family and I stayed here and had an amazing time! The food was very good. The resort itself is incredible. The kids played in the water while we relaxed under the palapas. We did not see the 7 shades of blue in the lagoon because of the time we went. We will definitely go back if in the area...
