What was planned as an incredible holiday combined with the CDI dressage at Jiva Hills in Crozet has become a real nightmare. Arriving, room all ok. Food is also ok. Personally, we even prefer the atmosphere from the normal restaurant over the atmosphere from the star restaurant. But that's a personal matter. The biggest disappointment was in the reception and the management. We booked end of July a junior suite with a small dog and paid. Later we received the confirmation mail with the conditions of the hotel. As normal you do not look at this. During our stay from Friday to Monday, we received on Saturday the message that my grandfather died and we had to return urgently to Belgium. Based on this we ended our competition at Crozet and went on Saturday evening to inform them. No issue. all ok and very understanding. On Sunday they booked us out and informed us we had to pay also the night and that we would not stay according to the conditions. Even a call to the reception with the director did not change this. We have been staying in the hotel, using the bar, have been eating in both restaurants and the hotel was in August absolutely not full but we had to pay 270 euros to return to our grandfather!!!!!! Even my proposal to not pay back but give us the next year a night voucher (as we return every year to the competition) was not accepted ! Also on the mails we send later to the management no reaction at all ! Never seen before ! Now I understand why we received after payment and booking 2 mails with the conditions. If you can not do differently: PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT THE CONDITIONS OR UNDER THE SPECIAL REMARK THAT FORCE MAJEUR IS GIVING YOU the possibility to cancel. So really one of the biggest disappointments in my professional life

You are welcomed at the reception desk and served at the restaurant by a staff of young students (aged 20, max 25) who have no experience of service and are left totally alone. If you ask for something, they will reply that the direction staff is not on the site and that they will have to report (the answer never comes). The view is amazing. The experience terrible. The food is ok but not special, the breakfast, better than the dinner (viennoiseries were excellent). In the dining room you feel in the cafeteria of a public hospital. The main course at dinner was too cooked and with no savor. The chef was absent apparently and the food has been reheat (we had dinner at the panorama table on a tuesday) The waiters were two young boys who had something else in their minds and you can understand them :.-) The bread and the dessert were good. The plates ate the restaurant come from the Saudi Arabia, the decoration is cold, everything is grey. You feel far far away from the website photos... If you wish to practice one the activities proposed on the website (chiens de traineaux or night walking) , the students at the reception desk will ask you that you contact people in charge directly. The recommended people, who have no connection with the hotel, have no availability until the end of the season. You can do absolutely nothing rather watching TV in your very tiny but clean room which look like a Christmas Ikea catalogue with a beautiful view on Geneva Lake and the Alps. Most of the decoration of the hotel comes from Ikea.

Although the hotel is located in a quiet area with a beautiful view on the Mont Blanc, the service was disappointing. We stayed for 2 nights in January 2023. During our stay there was no hot water for one full day one night. After the first night we informed the hotel. They just moved us to another and told us during the day that the issue was solved. But when we came back for the second night there was still no hot water. And the staff was unable to say they are sorry and could not tell us when it would be solved. Definitively does not meet the 4 stars standards except by charging 400 EUR per night. I will no go to this place

Very poor service and hospitality. Staff not responsive and not fixing any of the issues we mentionned. NO Wifi in rooms, poor variety of breakfast. Absolutely no activities on site. Reception unable to provide reliable information on activities. Spider web in bathroom, not changing towels in 5 days. Management not doing anything and not willing to speak with clients. Far too expensive for what they pretend to offer.

The hotel is located in a quiet area in the woods. Perfect for a get away. The room was nice, breakfast the same, although selection was basic (relative to price) and reception seemed sometimes helpful although quality of service varied. This is especially true after we left and realized we had left an item behind. We requested it to be sent and offered to pay. They were completely incapable of dealing with this. Unimaginable! You leave an item behind and the hotel informs you that they found the item but is not willing to make an effort to send it back (even though you offer to pay)!! I assume it was 'too much work' for them. We weren't guests anymore and had paid. Aside from the room itself and breakfast PERHAPS THEY NEED TO BE REMINDED THAT SERVICE IS what CAN make the difference. It's sad because at first they the hotel gave a good impression

Stayed in this hotel for one night and enjoyed my stay there except one mishap. The room is very cosy and beautiful, the location is gorgeous and overall I do recommend this hotel. The mishap for me was that in the morning, around 8:30 AM, as we were sleeping, someone opened the room door, picked inside and immediately closed the door. It is worth mentioning that the do not disturb sing was on the door. We woke up because my umbrella was hanging on the handle of the door and it fell on the floor when the door was opened. It was a young guy with striped shirt who obviously had the key to our room. At check out we mentioned that and we were told that this was probably the guy who delivers breakfast in the room and maybe he thought the do not disturb sign was the breakfast sign.

We chose to stay in this hotel for 5 nights based on its rating as one of the most scenic in the world. This reputation is well earned but make sure to request a room with a view of the valley and Lac Léman as some rooms face the mountains. Our room was so comfortable with lovely amenities such as a Nespresso coffee machine and pods, herbal teas, a fridge stocked with filtered water and sparkling water, a large TV with great reception and English language channels. The bathroom is very well appointed with Nuxe products, toiletries, robe and slippers. Everything is sparkling clean. The on-site restaurant offers a regular menu and a discovery menu, with a choice of 5,6, or 7 courses; each picked by the chef. We chose the 5-course dinner and it was succulent. The wine recommendation was spot on. Compared to similar tasting meals we had in the past, we thought the quality of the food, wine and service more than justified the price. Finally, the personnel was welcoming, friendly, professional and did everything possible to respond to our requests. We had a wonderful stay in this hotel that would have a ton of charm in any season.

We Stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. The location is fantastic; the view to the Alps is stunning and the decoration inside is very nice and cozy. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful place. Only comment is that at breakfast the food was sometimes not well refilled and long waiting time for coffee. The food quality is very good.

We were invited for brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The hotel is well situated with beautiful views over Lake Geneva and on to Mont Blanc. Brunch was a buffet style meal with a good selection to satisfy every pallet from croissants to oysters, cheeses and desserts. Service was friendly. The only thing I missed was a cup of coffee.

We booked the “Mont Blanc suite” for 4 nights and pre-paid. On arriving, they checked us in to a room made up of a small double and another small room with a sofa instead of bed. We queried with the receptionist about the suite we booked (and showed photos from Booking.com where we booked). They offered another room which was also very small, and when we complained that it wasn’t what we paid for they refused a refund, although they couldn’t/ wouldn’t give us the suite we paid for. We are still working with Booking.com and our credit card company for a refund, but the hotel have not been honest about what room they offered us Vs what we paid for.
