We stopped here on the way back from Italy. A lovely place to stay. Our room, or should I say rooms, were very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were served on the terrace. Both we fabulous. What a great overnight stay.

Amazingly sleepy village so close to a busy main road. Lovely property with a large garden. Owners who actually asked what we would like for dinner. Pleasant large room and very good breakfast. Convenient for cities such as Nevers and Bourges as well as transit sodefinitely a first choice if you're in the area

Le relais de chasse is a charming B&B runned by Dutch owners. We stayed two nights in the Windhoek room, which has a large living room. Although the room was soberly decorated, we felt at home. A plus is that windhoek room has a seperate entrance, directly leading to an umbrageous terrace. Extensive (though rather Dutch) breakfast. The table d'hotes...

What a delightful B&B this is. Run by two lovely ladies who made us and our dog Charlie so very welcome. We had the Paris room which was absolutely delightful, so much thought gone into its decor. Breakfast the following morning in the garden room was just lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Will certainly visit...

Lovely ladies who run this b and b. Lovely evening meal, nice room. only draw back was not the Owners fault but the church bells that strike on the hour and half hour all night and day, so you get 24 chimes at midnight and the hotel rooms are opposite the church. lovely gardens and surroundings and a warm welcome.

My brother and I are finally back home from our motorcycle trip, having stayed with Diana and Annelot for a night. Having dinner and breakfast, not to mention the two much needed "welcome beers", in the garden was one of the highlights of the summer. We very much appreciated our spotless room and would stay again for sure!

We first visited two years ago when others wouldn't take us in on a late arrival in the area. Diana was on her own then, but welcomed us with open arms. This year we booked in advance via the Internet, but had originally to cancel because of a car accident. We re-arranged on short notice with Diana and Annelot who...

We (family with 2 children) stayed here for one night (coming from Barcelona on our way back home to Amsterdam) and had a very good time. Warm welcome with glass of good local white wine and lemonade for the children, very tasteful 4 course dinner, clean rooms and comfortable bed and a very complete breakfast with fesh bread and pastries....

I am so glad I found this hidden gem of a bed and breakfast. The inn was in excellent condition, the hostesses friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was lovely. The history and age of this hidden treasure is worth not having 4 star accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, and unique.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Romans knew it long before we did. Life is good in what we now call the Nievre (s/w Burgundy). In between Loire and Allier, at the centre of an old village, opposite an 11th-century church, you’ll find Le Relais de Chasse (16th/18th century). Four spacious and luxurious guestrooms with well equipped en suite bathrooms are available within its walls. Outside the Relais you can enjoy our 10.000 m2 of garden/park. And beyond that you can experience all the great things the Nievre has to offer. In the vicinity of the Relais you’ll not only find historic cities & sites and overwhelming nature but also a number of –quiet- golf courses and the circuit of Magny Cours. Le Relais de Chasse is situated approximately 230 km south/east of Paris and can easily be reached via the N7 motorway. ... more   less
