Basic but very clean and neat lodge. Stayed in the family room which had two rooms separated by a bathroom. Great mattresses and a good price-quality ratio with a nice view over the lagoon and a short walking distance from the beach (about 10 min). Food is good but nothing out of the ordinary in Ghana and very expensive (30...

Lagoon Lodge is an incredible place to stay, hard to find anything similar in the same price range in Ghana. I'm always happy to return here. Rooms are clean and comfortable with large bathroom, TV and fan. Single room for $9 is real bargain. It has good restaurant with its own interpretation of seafood. Lobster, shrimps or squid go with...

I arrived in Winneba after a long trip from Ho and didn't have a clue where to stay. My taxi driver first took me to this awful large new hotel that was still being built but I declined because of the price and absence of wifi. My driver didn't seem to really know other hotels so he had to ask...

Our group had a fantastic time at Lagoon Lodge. The staff is fantastic and always helpful. The kitchen staff makes excellent food with appropriate levels of spice for those unable to handle the heat. We always stay here on our trips to Ghana and see no reason for this to change. We highly recommend staying at the Lagoon Lodge.

Very happy with our stay here, friendly australian owner, staff were great. Left my ipod in the hotel room and when i called up to enquire about it, turns out the cleaners had handed it in and the manager had kept in locked away in safekeeping until we got a chance to pick it up. Good food too. Close to...

After spending 2 weeks travelling around Ghana (about 2400km) we got to experience many different accommodations and regions. It was such a treat finishing off our trip with a stay at the Lagoon Lodge and unwind for a couple days. The beach is a short 10 minute walk away, and the staff and accommodations were great. I highly recommend a...

In February, 2012, we had the pleasure of spending the last two days of our grueling 14 day / 2400 km trip through Ghana at the Lagoon Lodge in Winneba! What a great place to unwind after a very busy two weeks on the road! Close to a beautiful beach! Wow! We really enjoyed the relaxing environment of Lagoon Lodge....

We were looking for something comfortable but cheaper than the really over-priced hotels in the city - I think Lagoon Lodge is not bad! Like others have commented, the food takes ages but as long as you order early you'll not be too stressed! I'd advise asking to check the bill after each meal as they have a policy of...

I certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and the accommodations at this hotel. Although the room was small the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was great in the shower and the fan kept me cool all night. The open courtyard for dining was attractively decorated with real plants. The food was in the middle price range and well prepared. The menu...

We (47, 43 10, 3) spent 2 nights at this popular family-run hotel in Winneba. Staff are very warm and welcoming. The owner is on the premises virtually all the time and is nice and courteous. They have about twenty single rooms, double rooms and family suites, over two floors, each with own bathroom and toilet. I had the chance...
