Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a night on our way to EBC. Decent tea-house with basic amenities. The rooms were small. Had to climb 2 floors with steep steps and all the luggage. The view from the room was nice. The dining area is nice and cozy. Charging, wifi, hot-water is all chargeable. Food was good.

Absolutely fantastic! Lovely cozy, warm rooms, even with a desk and chair, big bathrooms with lots of hot water, and amazing service by friendly, courteous, attentive staff. Food from the restaurant is excellent and laundry service fast and efficient. I’ve tried a few hotels in Namche and this is by FAR the best!

The facilities at the hotels in Namche are better than you will find as you progress further up the mountains, and overall we found Sherpaland to be a reasonably comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights on the way up and another on the way down. After Namche, you are a lot less likely to find things like en suite showers and charging facilities in standard rooms, and Namche itself is just outside the door, but on the other hand the rooms are a little damp and hot water is not reliable. Overall, this is one of the more comfortable places you are likely to stay on the trek, but given its location I couldn't help feeling it could have been better, Overall, not bad.

Dirty bathroom, no soap, water not even warm, asked for more hot water for tea told me they ran out of hot water, asked for extra blanket, had to get our guide involved as manager refused, prices for off the menu items kept changing - appeared managed wanted to charge whatever he wanted. Was told by the guide we could not eat anywhere else as it was not etiquette, expected to eat at hotel even though food was constantly served cold. I would not recommend it and beware of group tours that use this hotel, they treated our group poorly. A hot water bottle can set you back $20 or $10 or $15 - prices kept changing. Rooms are not heated, no towels provided. One star rating is too generous for this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here. The beds are so comfortable and they have outlets in thero ok m which is nice to get everything charged before you go higher up the trail. The room and food is a little bit more than other lodges, but the food was really good and the rooms are nice.

Room was clean and comfortable. Took the option of an en suite bathroom which is a luxury on the EBC trail. Pricing was significantly higher than other places in Namche but since we hadn't booked a room and Namche was full we had no option but to accept. Shower was not warm. Quite a bad smell continually emenated from the kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay here on the way back from base camp. A nice warm shower after 5 days without. Rey comfortable beds and clean and warm room. The dining wood is lovely with very nice food. Nice and close to everything in town .No complaints as you are staying in the mountain.

Hotel Sherpaland was our two night stop on our trek to Everest Base Camp. There was NO heating in the dining room, leaving all trekkers no option but to seek the warmth of an adjacent coffee house. We were not expecting luxury, but a little comfort after a hard day's hiking would have been welcomed. Smaller tea houses further up the mountain provided much more in the way of heat and warm food. Members of our party were charged for Wi-Fi that never worked and not given their money back. All in all, the poorest place we stayed on our trek.

Hotel Sherpaland may indeed be a perfectly situated hotel for the trekker, but with no hot water most of the time, very bad WiFi and cold rooms with bad lighting it is not worth the nightly cost. The meals are lovely, to its credit, but the Manager is unwilling to put in any effort to even try to appease disgruntled trekkers! many of the people I travelled with had a myriad of issues with the hotel but their complaints fell on 'deaf ears!'. Go elsewhere in namche Bazaar and get a better and cheaper deal!
