Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a cozy lodge with a beautiful garden and good food. The innkeeper was a very friendly and interested woman. The room was cozy and had an own bathroom. Free electricity and WiFi and good beds. We would stay there again!

I stayed here on my way back from EBC the night before flying to Kathmandu. First off, the chips chilly and the masala papad are a MUST have. Second, the owner came with us to the airport and made sure we were the first to check in and go through security when the gates opened, he also confirmed my flight for me with the airline the day before. I also left a container of medications behind in my room and he ran to the airport to give them to my friends who were on a later flight so that I could get them on the other end. Cannot recommend this spot and these people enough.

Came here for dinner on last night before flying out of Lukla. Nice cozy restaurant, very good food, fresh vegetables. Owner sat down with us for a nice chat. Quite busy, good atmosphere, very good service.

We had a great stay at Paradise Lodge end of Feb 2018. Their Slogan: "Home away from Home" is a true Story. The hospitality was heardtouching. It was cold everywhere, but the lady owner (sorry, dont know who is who: Aang or Dawa) took care of us and offered hot Nepali tea all the time. Atmosphere was very advetures with very interesting guests sitting around the warm oven in the Lobby. Good Option of meal selection, breakfast and dinner very tasty. Rooms very basic without heating. Ask for a warm water bottle and additional blankets for the night in cold season. Dont expect too much comfort. Warm water available in bathroom, but water has to run for minutes before using. 2 Minutes walk to the Airport. You Can see aircraft and helicopters departing and landing at Lukla out of the lodge. All in all unforgettable stay.

This lodge is very nice. It has all you might expect for a well established lodge. But for us, the best part was the manager helping with the flight out of Lukla. He was the best. Came to the airport with us and did all the weighing and ticket checking personally while the other passengers had to deal with the only one guy behind the desk. Not such a problem really since we were there in January, but i can imagine during the trekking season, this would be a big help.

I've written nearly 200 reviews, and this one has me stumped. I'm not entirely sure where to begin ! After arriving into Lukla, I spent a couple of hours taking photo's and video around the airport, before finding and checking into the hotel. (It's actually more like a B&B) A lovely old Nepali woman greeted me and offered me a coffee, which i accepted, and it was actually pretty good coffee. As I was only there for 1 night, I wasted no time putting my gear in my room, (which consisted of 2 single beds and a bathroom) and heading out to explore Lukla. The reception area of the hotel was also the dining area, and Lukla being a cold place, it was very warm and cosy inside, and had a real family feel to it. At dinner time, the hotel owner (the wife) and the young staff, made sure each guest was looked after, and the owner fussed over each of the dozen or so guests who were there like she was a mother to them all. It was brilliant !! The next morning, the hotel owner (the hubby) took a bunch of guests (including me) to the airport at 0600 to ensure that they had no issues with getting their flights, which i thought was a great touch. This was a great little hotel, which was more like a B&B. Very homely, with owners and staff that made you feel like part of the family. Will definately stay here again when I return for a longer stay in Lukla. Thank you so much Paradise Lodge !!

The best dal-bhat on the whole Solukhumbu trek. And the location adjacent to both the main drag and the airport makes it ideal. The father of the guesthouse has the airport radio so will tell you if your flight is on time or if you can stay and have some breakfast. He will check you in and his porter will bring your bag. He's been doing it for 28 years - so he knows his stuff. Super nice people and we loved watching the helicopters.

We have stayed at this beatiful hotel at the end of the trekking. Owners of the hotel are very creative and clean. Dining room are so clean and rooms are good. They gave himalayan mountains name as room number and this is so nice and creative. Prices are not so expensive , we tried yak meat for dinner and it was amazing. You may also use free Internet and charging. Most other guest house and hotels request money for this stuff. Hotel is so close to the bazar and center and airport. This is the another bonus. You will definitely pleased to stay this place. Cheers Ernur
