I spent almost two weeks here on a solo trip to visit family in Versoix, and had a very pleasant stay. The inn was conveniently located for my purposes, and I found it charming. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated the many eco-friendly touches.
I chose the least expensive room, which was quite reasonably priced for this area. As advertised, it faced the road, but because it was winter and I kept the windows closed most nights, I was not unduly bothered by the traffic. However, in warmer weather, I'd recommend seeking a garden-facing room.
The bed was clean and comfortable. The daily room cleaning was good. The room had a refrigerator. The breakfast, at 19CHF, seemed expensive but I tried it once and found the croissants outstanding. The coffee and eggs were also tasty.
The wifi is free, which is nice.
A note to those with mobility issues: My room was on the third floor, and there was no elevator, so, if you'd rather not deal with the stairs, ask for a room on the first floor.

I had a lovely stay at Genève cottage. The owners and staff were very friendly. My room was nicely furnished and very cosy. Breakfast was rich with fresh pancakes, fruit salat and eggs per request. I would definitely stay at Genève cottage again.

We found Geneva Cottage to be very quaint - the room was very clean, the bed comfortable (which was very welcome after 14 hours of travel) and the linens nicely bleached and fresh. Pillows were average. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a single night stay. The proprietor greeted us and was very friendly and thankfully carried our luggage up the steep stairs. Don't stay here if you require a lift, unless they have ground floor rooms - I'm not certain if they do.
The breakfast buffet was good.

Dear Madam, Sir, We ask you to excuse us for this late reply. We appreciate your comments and are pleased that your stay will be held for the best. Indeed you are right to state that for people who have difficulty moving it is best to call us because we only have one bedroom on the ground floor. We are an institution without elevator. Best regards The owner

Just returned from 2 day stay from 25-27 November . On arrival check in was quick and staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms have individual theme with names rather than numbers. Rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities needed for a short break and were spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was slightly pricey at 16 Francs but it is substantial. I ate in less formal of the two restaurants and choice of salads and pastas was good and represented good value for money.

Another plus was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Overall a good place to stay for short break as you get free travel in and out of Geneva.

Would definitely stay again if visiting Geneva again.

This is an excellent place to stay. It is a family owned hotel in Versoix, 8 kms from Geneva Downtown. There are two train stations walking distance about 8 to 10 mins., transportation within area 10 in Geneva is free so don't forget to ask in the hotel for the free transportation cards. This hotel was really awsome, the rooms very clean, the beds very clean, the bathroom very clean and with a nice unique decoration. Wifi is complimentary in all the hotel and works pretty well! There is a terrace but we didn't use it due to the rainy days. There are also two restaurants one more stylish and gourmet. The other one more traditional cuisine. Food was very good!! I really recommend it and definatley I would stay again. Thanks to all the satff! specially Etianne, thank you for you attention!!!!!!

I came to Geneva for three back to back meetings all the way from El Salvador, Central America and I found warm, style, cozyness in this small hotel. The staff is very friendly, the decoration and details superb. The ambiance so relaxing to start every day a good day with soft classical music in the background. I highly recommend this jewel. The transportation connections are very good at a short walk distance (especially the bus). It is a great demonstration of the best Swiss hospitality!

Stayed here for a week while doing business in Geneva. Commute wasn't bad - 10 minute walk to train, 18 minute train ride to Geneva Central Station (Cornavin). Trains every half hour.

Beautiful little spot. Very cool that it's all heated with geothermal. Proprietors are excellent friendly people. Free wireless is a bonus.

Breakfast was the weak link. Not a great breakfast by Geneva hotel standards.

My room faced the street. Not a big deal though. At night there are only like 2 or 3 cars an hour. No problem to open the window.

We did book two rooms last minute, the service over the phone was good as well as on-site - still puzzled why it was impossible to get the same or even a lower price than the one I paid via booking.com. We were lucky to have the room towards the garden as the road passing by the cottage is pretty busy. Rooms were without AC and pretty warm. Public beach is 10 minutes away by foot and adding another 10 you can get to supermarkets. Breakfast is at CHF19, even for kids, which is pretty expensive for what it is: muesli very good, coffee and juices are better left untouched.

Good morning, We thank you for your comment and regret that it does not allow us to improve. Indeed, and to point out certain points only of your remarks (and not to enter into sales and marketing theories), we do not have the authorization to install an air conditioning system for ecological questions and that is dictated by laws. But we can ensure you that...when a heat wave comes through the whole country, of course we're also affected and.... just like you wish we were air-conditioned. As for the juices, let us assure you that they sleep in the fridge and satisfy many palates and stomachs; we regret that they were not at your "visual" convenience since you have not tasted them... Finally, the rooms that have been assigned to you, were rooms of superior category that the one you paid for (this is called a commercial gesture...) and that was not simply a luck but... we did this in order to avoid you the inconvenience of the cantonal road, certain that you would open the window in this period of heat waves. We wish you a pleasant stay in Geneva, a city that has long been in the top 10 most expensive cities in the world, a city where a single coffee, depending on the establishments and even if they are on the side of a busy road, can exceed CHF 10.-! Best regards, pp genève cottage

My family of 4 stayed at the Cottage for 2 nights in July. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We had originally booked a suite but as our kids were a little older they gave us two rooms next to each other at no extra charge.

The cottage is close to train station about ten min walk away and the public beach on the lake with safe swimming, showers, toilet, cafe etc. Well worth a visit.

The rooms at the cottage were large and comfortable. Only down side was lack of air con but nothing different to being at home in England during this heatwave!

The breakfast was simple but lots of the basics for a continental breakfast so we did not go hungry. The hotel were kind enough to book a taxi for us back to the airport as well on our last day. Overall a great stay.

Dear family, Thank you for your charming comment. We are pleased that the proposal you have made has been agreed upon. We listen first and foremost to our customers and make sure that their stay is pleasant. We are sorry for the heat and sorry for not having a more appropriate solution like air conditioning which unfortunately is forbidden in the Canton. We just have a fan and that is not enough we are well aware. We would be happy to welcome you to our establishment if you return to Geneva. We wish you a good day. The owner
