Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brendan and Martina could not have been more friendly and helpful. We chose Room 2, which definitely had a sea view, although the windows were a bit smaller than we would have liked. Breakfasts were great. A fridge at the bottom of the stairs was helpful for keeping milk and the (free) bottled water cold. We spent two nights at Seaview and found it well located for touring the area. Don't miss Silent Valley for a beautiful walking area, and the Carlingford Ferry for a quick trip into the South (the EU!). One surprise was how busy it was on a Sunday night - quite hard to find somewhere to eat that wasn't rammed. Book ahead!

We loved our stay at Seaview and wish we had stayed more than one night. Brendan and Martina took great care of us and we enjoyed talking with them. The rooms were spacious and really comfortable. The breakfast was massive and delicious. Can’t beat the views!

We would give this a six out of five if we could. We had an excellent time at Seaview. The room and beds were comfy. The bathroom a good size and well set out. The breakfast enormous and excellent. The views stunning. Our hosts were utterly delightful and a pleasure to talk to. We took their advice and headed back over Strangford Lough and saw the dolphin 🐬

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Seaview Guesthouse in March and had the best time! This was my second stay here and it did not disappoint. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We wanted for nothing our entire stay with them. We had the most delicious customized breakfasts, teas and coffees. Our rooms all had en suites and were so clean and comfortable. Then there are “the views!” The scenery from the guesthouse are out of this world between the sea and ferries, sheep, on one side and the Mourne Mountains on the other, I’d honestly go back just to sit on their deck! finally, one of the best highlights if staying is simply the hosts themselves, Martina and Brendan. They made us all feel right at home and part of the family. There’s never a dull conversation and they are just so warm and accommodating to their guests. I cannot recommend this guesthouse and our hosts enough!

My husband booked Seaview as a surprise for my birthday, this was our first visit , and WOW what a fabulous weekend we had. This was all down to our amazing hosts Martina and Brendon and their wonderful accommodation. Beautiful, clean rooms, the most wonderful tastiest breakfast - all cooked fresh and made to order. My husband had Martinas home made porridge this morning, he said it the best he’s ever tasted. Martina and Brendon are the perfect hosts , nothing is a bother to them. We were sorry to leave ! As soon as we can we’ll be returning. Seaview is the place to book if you are travelling to this area. I guarantee you will love your visit . Thankyou for making my birthday special and thankyou for the card and chocolates Martine, so kind of you .

Martina and Brendan are wonderful hosts who make you feel very welcome. The two of them along with their son Patrick couldn’t do enough. Our only complaint was the weather which meant we couldn’t explore the beautiful surroundings. The room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. We just can’t wait to go back and explore the views, area and walks. Marty and Lorraine

Myself and my partner are having a few days away and our first stop was at the Seaview. Immediately got a good feeling about this place. Met Martina and Brendan who were so friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely. Immaculate with a gorgeous en suite. The shower was fab. Breakfast next morning was delicious. Good perfectly cooked and presented. Plenty of everything, cooked my Martina and served by Martin. All this in an Area of outstanding natural beauty and tranquillity definitely coming back! Thanks again and a very happy anniversary to the lovely Martina and Brendan! Best wishes Trish and Robbie

This guesthouse is the perfect size for one room or a group of 5 rooms. The guest rooms are nicely furnished and maintained spotlessly. Coffee pots and hair dryers in the room. There is a lift, so you don’t have to drag your luggage bumping up stairs as you have to do in so many B&Bs. The couple who own it are the perfect hosts. Breakfast offering is basically anything you want, any way that you want it. Parking is good on site. Views of the Lough are surrounding countryside are lovely. This was my second time staying there (2 years ago, before the pandemic was the first.). Would stay there again.

Me and mum stayed here for one night. The couple that own it are soooo lovely! The rooms are spacious and the beds are really really comfortable. The views from the guesthouse are gorgeous, just wish the weather had of been better when we were there. Breakfast was also to a high standard and you can have it ready for you for whatever time you like. Would def recommend to family and friends and we will def be back to visit again.
