We had a fantastic stay. Great welcome from Kirsteen and Roddy with tea, coffee and home made biscuits. Super room with very comfy four poster bed, dual aspect views and everything was spotlessly clean. More home made biscuits and fresh milk in the room every day. Breakfast was delicious, home made apple juice and preserves and a tasty Scottish cooked breakfast which kept us going all day. Ideal location to explore the dales. We wouldn't hesitate to return and are looking forward to sampling the jams we brought home!

This truly in a very special B & B and will be our go to place when visiting the Yorkshire dales in the future. The reviews were amazing and absolutely lived up to the accolades it has received. The village of west Witton is in a great location for exploring all what the dales has to offer and has the added bonus of having one of the best restaurants in Yorkshire namely the Wensleydale Heifer. Roddy and Kirstine, the hosts of the old vicarage, were super friendly and welcoming. The bedroom we had for our stay was No1 and had a lovely 4 poster bed with double aspect windows with terrific views looking out over the countryside. Tea and coffee facilities were complimented with delicious homemade cookies. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was a great choice for breakfast in the morning which was also delicious and substantial which certainly set us up for the day exploring. All in all, we found this break faultless and are already looking forward to returning in November with our friends.

Beautiful B & B! Spotlessly clean. Stunning location. Beautiful views. Peaceful spot. Delicious, generous breakfast. Brilliant hosts. Home made biscuits, jams, marmalade. Great area for walking. Plenty of good pubs nearby. What more could you ask for? If you book a stay here you will not be disappointed! We don’t often make return visits but this is a place we plan to make a return visit to. Thank you Roddy and Kirsteen for a great stay.

What an awesome place ...... Kirsteen and Roddy were there to greet us when we arrived and immediately made us feel welcome. We loved the old world charm of their home, and their attention to detail .... we being part of that detail. From a welcome coffee and homemade biscuits, to their immaculate rooms, nothing was to much trouble, even taking time out of their day to get to know us a little, and us them. The breakfast was perfect, from the fruit cocktail to the cooked breakfast, plentiful coffee and the homemade jams ....... amazing. Kirsteen was on hand to offer advice on local walks and attractions. We will definitely be visting again. If your planning a Dales break, The Old Vicarage is a MUST.

Stayed at the old vicarage this past weekend whilst attending a wedding in Bainbridge. This is the most beautiful B&B, Kirsteen & Roddy are so welcoming. They take time to get to know their guests, so you don’t just feel like a paying customer. They give you a warm welcome in the lounge with tea and home made biscuits ( absolutely delicious ), tea served in china tea pot and cups. Rooms are spotlessly clean and so inviting. We stayed in room 4 and wow what a bed, super king size four poster. Breakfast was amazing and a choice of homemade jams and marmalades made by Kirsteen that also were delicious. We felt right at home here and will definitely be visiting again.

On arrival, our hosts Kirsteen and Roddy were ready at the door to welcome us with an offer to take our bags up and tea and biscuits in the parlour! Very nice touch! Our room was spotlessly clean and beautiful with stunning views over the Dales. Breakfast was superb both food quality by Roddy and service by Kirsteen. Faultless! Opting for a full Scottish option, I was bowled over by the quality of the haggis in particular....not that I am an expert coming from Devon! Lovely big room...Comfy bed, nice big tele and fantastic home made biscuits by Kirsteen. Beautifully decorated .... Bathroom was cosy!

Having stayed at The Old Vickerage a number of years ago we were delighted to return and find that the welcome, hospitality and standards remained as high as ever. Upon arrival we were met by Kirsteen who showed us to Room 1, a lovely bedroom with a Four Poster bed and views to die for of Pen Hill and across The Dale.It was my wife's birthday and as requested a bottle of Prosecco was chilling on the mantlepiece. The room was well-equipped with an excellent TV, toiletries and refreshments with a very thoughtful change to the last time we stayed fresh milk in a cool bottle alongside homemade biscuits, Yorkshire Tea etc We visited the local pub, the homely Fox and Hounds before enjoying an excellent meal at The Wensleydale Heiffer, we returned to our room and slept very well in the luxurious bed with fine sheets and lovely soft pillows. Having ordered Breakfast the night before we eagerly decended into the dining room in the morning. Again we were not disappointed with myself having a Scottish Breakfast made by Roddy and my wife having the English alternative, supplemented by toast and Kirsteens wonderful homemade jams. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if you are coming to stay in the Yorkshire Dale's then we highly recommend stopping at The Old Vickerage, you will have a beautiful room in stunning countryside hosted by Kirsteen and Roddy, magnificent!
