We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Casita Zumbador at Casa Picaflores. Barbara was a great host and has created an amazing, calming oasis in the foothills of El Yunque. We will definitely be back someday, hopefully for a longer stay!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Picaflores after a 12 day sailing trip through the BVI. We were there over Thanksgiving and upon returning home I promised Barbara I would write a review which has taken me a while to do because I can find no words which adequately describe the experience. I will do my best but this...

I arrived at Casa Picaflores with a two day booking commitment thinking that I would stay at different places while traveling around Puerto Rico during my 8 day trip. However, I ended up staying the full seven nights. I was looking for something more local than a Hilton or Marriott experience but didn't want to stay in someone's home or...

The moment you drive through the gates of Casa Picaflores, a beautiful and peaceful ambience settles around you. The vegetation is varied, colorful and lush. As much as I loved hiking offsite with Robin in the El Yunque Rain Forest, there was a part of me that wanted to stay on Barbara's land. She has painstakingly nursed this land back...

Amazing stay...this place will reset you with its magic. Beautiful, extremely well maintained property not far at all from restaurants, beaches, grocery stores and shops. Barbara is an amazing person and very knowledgeable about the area. Lots to do and see...or perfect to just relax and regroup, the perfect location for whatever you are looking for. We can't wait to...

Barbara is a lovely, wonderful soul. The property is lush, inviting, and off the beaten path. A wonderful rain forest experience and only 15mins from Humacao where there are plenty of store and restaurants etc. The villa has a full kitchen and patio with a full size table and grill to enjoy your evenings. A MUST VISIT

very pretty, pond is cool and refreshing, make sure to book Robin for a rain forest tour. Barbara is very kind. Roads are tricky here, go slowly, have a good map. In March we had no bugs. A peaceful, tranquil location.

My sister and I stayed here in March 2016 with only one other couple on the property. First of all, Barbara is the nicest, most wonderful and welcoming woman. The whole stay was an absolute joy and both mine and my sister's favorite part of our vacation in Puerto Rico. The area is very remote so without a car, like...

This is a one of a kind place. The roads are a bit crazy getting there. Like a spot where I was convinced our rental car wouldn't make it because there was a big dip in the road. Go slow it will be just fine. Barbara was a very nice lady, very welcoming. There is a huge, very friendly dog...

I was so happy... My partner and I stayed at the cabaña... Oh my God that is really something else. Was so tranquil, so beautiful, so calm, the greenest and that freshness, the birds, the water, the coquis, the rain, all was perfect. The big beautiful bed surrounded by nature because the big screen windows let you think you are...
