La Villa des Bordes is an old house on the outskirts of Clery Saint André. The rooms retain their original charm (although this may seem a little spartan to some) and the restaurant serves quality meals at reasonable prices. Wholeheartedly recommended for anyone who wants a good night's sleep in a quiet location without all the modernities of a twenty-first...

Had no real expectations of this hotel as a stopover on our way to the Dordogne. Our initial impression on arrival was of an attractive, typically French rural & quiet hotel. First stayed here ten years ago when rooms were simple but compensated for by magnificent restaurant and great setting. Rooms now fully renovated so makes one of nicest places we have stayed in. Highly recommended as base to explore the Loire valley, as stop over on trip down to Pyrenees or as place for gourmet weekend.

We had a fabulous overnight stay here on our cycle tour. We were made very welcome, with somewhere secure for the bikes. We were shown to a large attractive room with plenty of space and a welcome bath and tea making facilities. The food was of an exceptional standard with plenty to fill us after a days cycling. Service was...
