The wonderful hosts made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed two great night sleeps here with a delicious home cooked full English, with local produce. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. There is WIFI throughout and the bedrooms were very comfortable and had full amenities. We would happily return and thank Crispin, Jane and Sue for their hospitality.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. Crispin, Jane and Sue made us very welcome. New Farm is quiet and relaxed, with a very traditional feel, but with all mod cons and situated in a lovely village. Our dinner on the first night was delicious; our only disappointment was being too full to sample the puds. Breakfast the following mornings...

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday night and we were not disappointed. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Crispin and shown to a modern and very comfy room. Dinner here is a must, Jane is a very talented chef, the food is superb and Sue made us feel very welcome in the dining area. Lovely location too....

First time I have ever felt the need to leave a review. Just got back from a family meal and everyone on the table left thoroughly satisfied. The menu will suit most tastes, the fillet steak was especially special, the red wine sauce was devine. The attention to detail was second to none. If your looking for good food and...

We visited New Farm on the Saturday night of our weekend away in Somerset and chuffed we did. The atmosphere, staff, food and drinks were absolutely top class. The lady who welcomed us was lovely. We would definitely recommend and go back here.

So glad you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your kind words, especially as we had just changed our range of local Beers and Ciders, it's always good to know that the tweaks are appreciated. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Somerset!

We stayed overnight in this small restaurant with rooms. We were greeted on arrival with the offer of a pot of tea. Our room was small but very comfortable. Furniture was in keeping with the quiet countryside setting. There were lots of complimentary things such as chocolates, biscuits and a variety of teas and coffees. Dinner was very pleasant. The...

Thank you for your review, I am glad you enjoyed your meal and stay, we have now addressed the wi-fi and it is now available in the rooms by way of range expander - although still at the mercy of the vagaries of countryside internet!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at New Farm. Evening meal was outstanding - an interesting menu, beautifully prepared food. Room was lovely - clean and cosy. And all capped off with an excellent breakfast and excellent hospitality. Look forward to visiting again!

I booked New Farm as a treat for my wife's birthday, mainly for the restaurant (which I have reviewed seperately). Our experience of restaurants with rooms has tended to be that the focus is very much on the restaurant and not so much on the rooms. This seems to be the case here as well. We stayed in the "Green...

Thank you for your review I am glad you enjoyed your meal, I am sorry you didn't feel the room was up to scratch, if you had mentioned it at the time we could have made some form of reparation. Our focus is very much on both the restaurant and the rooms so we were naturally disappointed with your comments....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Jane & Crispin Bond have tastefully converted this lovely Ham stone building, originally a working farm run by Jane’s family since the late 1800’s, into a delightful restaurant with rooms. Together with Jane’s sister Sue, we can genuinely say that it is a family run business with a relaxed ambience and a service personal but not intrusive. Local produce is very much at the forefront of our ethos, you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and homemade cake and can look forward to a delicious meal in the restaurant when open. After a restful night in the 4 star rated rooms choose a full English breakfast including locally produced hand cut honey cured bacon and eggs from our own chickens, fish, vegetarian and specific dietary requirements also catered for. ... more   less
