Stayed here while cycling the Loire. We chose to pay extra to have a view over the Loire and this was a good choice. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and adequate. Breakfast was fine. It was not expensive so the environment reflected this.

It overlooks scenic Loire river, bridge, Gien cathedral and castle. The staffs are very friendly, the room is clean, A/C works well during the record heat wave in June. For the room rate we paid, it is really worth to stay.

Travelling the eurovelo 6 on our bikes, the mother of storms broke out so no camping for us tonight, instead we came across this hotel right on the route. There was safe bike storage, warm comfortable rooms and hit showers, although basic what more do you need in torrential rain and thunder storms.

Easy to find, well located hotel with nice view over river to the town, chateau etc. Quiet room overlooking garden ( and car park) except near lift - walls are thin. Comfortable, bed, pillows and plenty of hot water too. However - several things broken, damaged, worn etc - maintenance/replacement obviously an issue, but if you are on a tight... More

This hotel is brill just across the river from Gien! Good off road parking under arch round back. Lovely quiet at the back where we stayed and you could see your car in car park, Gien was only small but at least it had a tourist info centre which was in walking distance of hotel. Will be staying there next... More

Don't be put off by the name, somehow it does n't translate too well! This hotel overlooks the River Loire. Its has spacious rooms and has a modern feel to it. There is a small bar and a garden to the rear. It also overlooks the main town of Gien which is over the bridge. In this respect it is... More

We stayed at the Sanotel overnight with our dog on the way to Nimes. Absolutely ideal - The hotel is right next to the Loire with walks outside the front door and 5 mins into town centre. Easy to find, excellent secure parking, excellent view across river from room and very friendly management and staff. Did not arrive in time... More

I stayed here whilst attending the Formula 1 French Grand Prix at Magny Cours. Great little hotel, with a view overlooking the River Loire and the pretty Chateau town of Gien. Nice little bar, very clean rooms, decent food.
