La Ferme du Lac is a 17th century restored farmhouse nestling at the bottom of a 25 acre wooded valley in one of the most beautiful areas of France. We, Jackie and Liston, took over here in April 2015 and have enjoyed making it a warm relaxed place to stay and we have had some great reviews. Boris, the dog, is why most people return here. The location is stunning, a private valley with a dammed lake at one end, farmhouse and out-buildings in the middle and a riverside meadow with three cabins that sleep 4/5 people. We also have Lakeside Lodge with panoramic views across the lake. The night sky at La Ferme du Lac is phenomenal, sunsets are magnificent, and the sunrises too. The early morning mist rolling off the lake, with kingfishers flying by, is a sight to behold. We have a bar/restaurant so you are always welcome to get snacks or drinks or book a table for dinner if you want to relax a little bit more!! We are mostly onsite but are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks in La Ferme du Lac. We stayed in one of the cabins which was really comfortable and very well equipped. We have stayed in numerous campsites across France who offer similar self catering accommodation (cabins, static caravans etc) but they all fall considerably short of the standard that is offered here. If you fancy a break from self catering, then we highly recommend the food that is on offer in the restaurant - particularly the fish and chips (best we’ve had!) The hosts, Jackie and Liston, are superb and genuinely want the best holiday experience for their guests. Their hospitality extends beyond expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting and drinking copious amounts of wine in their company. We look forward to the same experience next year as we will most definitely be back ...

Gites were modern airy and comfortable particularly one bedroom that slept three! Excellent value for money in an idyllic location. Blokes went off fishing and in the evening had fires and toasted marshmallows excellent for our group of 9 whose ages ranged from 7-72! Jackie and Liston were super hosts going above and beyond and their brood of pets were gorgeous! Advice - book early for fish and chip night as locals flock to it - shows how popular they are. Also recommend the Limousin steak - best ever. Hope to go back and look at changes in the future,

We have just spent a week here and would recommend it to all. An amazing place to unwind and take in the peace and tranquility of the area. Jackie and LIston are just fantastic hosts who make you feel like friends as soon as you meet them. The food is good and beautifully cooked and Liston takes pride in the food that is served and rightly so I ate vegetables i didnt think i liked but now love ( thanks Liston).. Friday night fish and chip night fun loud and busy. Do not deprive yourself of a visit to this wonderful place.

We recently returned from a two week break in one of the refurbished gites. We (2 adults and kids 16 and 11) had a fantastic time, the location was absolutely beautiful, the gites had everything you needed and were clean and comfortable, but most of all we were made so welcome by the lovely owners, Jackie and Liston. Thank you so much for some very enjoyable evenings and amazing food in the restaurant (especially those involving lots of wine and Liston's amazing curry) and for teaching our son to fish, it really was the highlight of his holiday. Hope to see you again next year x
