We stayed for 3 weeks in the gite at Le Moulin de la Follaine during part of September and October and are very glad we did so. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped and is situated in a beautiful spot near the pretty village of Azay-sur-Indre. The owner’s house (the Moulin) is opposite the gite and the two buildings... More

We visited la Follaine on our way south and were so impressed with the warmth of both our hosts and the 'vibe' of the mill that we booked in for our return journey ten days later. We loved the authenticity of the working mill and all the nick-nacks. Danie and Christian established a great rapport and we left feeling we... More

An ideal location for a restful stay in the Loire, whilst being within easy day trips to places of interest, beautiful villages, a short drive to Loches, Tours and restaurants in the Azay-sur- Indre. Danie & Christian were most helpful ,and always ready to direct us, and help with any requests. The cottage was very comfortable, and amenities clean &... More

We stayed at Le Moulin for 4 nights at the start of a trip through France having driven straight from the ferry port at St Malo. It was so peaceful after the fairly lengthy drive. The ideal place to unwind. Le Moulin is set in a lovely garden with a lake and a lot of trees which provide shade from... More

We stayed with Danie and Christian for two nights on our way to the Dordogne and for one night on our way back. It is well placed to break this journey and after a long drive was a haven of restful tranquillity. The restored mill is an interesting building full of period furniture and Christian was kind enough to give... More

When we arrived we couldn't have received a warmer welcome from Danie. This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at the Mill. We had BB for 7 nights and we stayed in the ground floor double room which was very spacious and clean with doors that opened facing the lake, couldn't have been better. The continental breakfast kept... More

We had spent all day searching for a place to stay and at the very end we found this place. Danie and her husband made us feel completely at home after a very exhausting day. We had beautiful rooms with plenty of space and nice bathrooms too. The breakfasts were fantastic and delicious and we were very thankful to have... More

We recently had a short vacation on the Loire Valley and after searching over the internet for "chambres d'hotes" we decided to chose the Moulin de la Follaine. First of all, I must say that the description including photos available on tourist websites is perfectly accurate. The house is a reconditioned old mill (still working) with very nice and comfortable... More

My wife and I stayed in the mill for bed and breakfast 11 years ago and enjoyed ourselves so much and were made so welcome by Danie and Christian that we decided to return and, as there were four of us this time, we rented their Gite. The Gite is very roomy, well decorated , furnished to a high standard,... More

For the last 5 years I have been looked after by Danie and her husband on my trips between Calais/Barcelona, and I look forward to many more. The mill is beautifully restored, and the rooms are very comfortable and private. It is situated in a beautiful part of the Loire, and an evening meal is easily achieved by driving to... More
