We have just spent a very relaxing stay at La Tourterelles. Our house was immaculate and well-equipped for all of our needs. Our children loved the pool and the grounds were a relaxing haven for our stay. James and Sarah were warm and welcoming and were ever helpful in recommending places to eat or visit. Would highly recommend.

A really warm welcome for us and our guests. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and the owner was extremely helpful in organising a trip to a couple of champagne houses, a restaurant and a coach to ferry our party of 19 between the three venues. Accommodation was clean and very suitable for our group- we rented all the gites, so had the place to ourselves. Barbecues were available, outdoor games too. Lovely walks in the surrounding fields, and local bike hire too. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, made all the better by very helpful and friendly owners. Thank you! K

The perfect place to relax and revive. We stayed in the spacious 3 bedroomed gite 'Les Tourterelles', enjoying the spacious living area - the large dining table for lazy breakfasts, the cosy lounge for chilling after a day spent outdoors by the newly refurbished pool or exploring the rolling countryside, with its many champagne houses, vast landscapes and quiet, quiet roads. The huge night skies seen from the lawn at the rear of the barn are definitely worth staying up for - a memory made. Sarah and James go out of their way to make your stay special. This is the perfect place for both quiet getaways or large family or friends holidays. We will definitely be back.

We have just returned from 5 nights at Le Ferme des Tourterelles and had a wonderful time. The gites are superbly appointed and spotlessly clean. Hosts James and Sarah go the extra mile to ensure your stay is excellent.

Sarah and James have done an amazing job of renovating their ancient buildings and this is a really comfortable place to stay. As others have mentioned, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are very helpful in sharing ideas and information, not to mention the lovely fresh bread delivered with a smile each morning (except Monday)! Éclance is a small and isolated rural hamlet. Apart from Troyes (full of medieval buildings and well worth a visit), we mainly spent time walking and cycling in the surrounding lanes and lakes. Very relaxing and completely unspoilt; we encountered few other British tourists. Each gite has its own secluded terrace with table and chairs, but everything else is shared with the other properties. The pool is very large, cool and refreshing on a hot day, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.

A lovely peaceful cottages with lovely grounds and pool. Sarah and James were fantastic host and so very helpful. We had great bbq fresh croissants and baguettes from the bread van. The champagne visit was good and troye was a nice visit . Went to the belvedere restaurant a lovely setting and worth a trip but make sure you book. A lovely holiday with limited phone signal and limited wifi is a great way to get away from day to day life. A great time was had.

James and I are so glad you had a good time. The benefits of the tranquility and beautiful landscape does has its downside as it's location in rural France does at the moment mean that the cell signal is limited but accessible if you find the sweet spots! To some that may be a benefit! We always make sure that the use of the fixed line in our home is available for any urgent call or an emergency required. As for internet access, I am not sure if you were part of the large family that recently stayed with us whereby the father/grandfather who booked this extended family holiday asked me not to issue internet codes to his family. Great if you do want to get away from day to day life. For anyone reading this review and this review potentially alarms you, fibre optic has recently been installed to the village of Eclance. The internet speed is now hugely enhanced so we have retired our investment in internet access technology by satellite! Whilst we have freeview TV to each gîte, with access to mainstream UK channels, catch up TV with ITV Hub +, by streaming over our internet network is possible - not bad therefore for speed and bandwidth. A series of routers and an exterior antennae has been set up in the gîtes and courtyard, so you should be able to access the internet regardless of which gîte you may be in and your device once registered is known to the system without having to change access IDs and passwords. This is a great benefit if your group plans to book more than one gîte. We often have families who book all four. In one cottage there are certain rooms/spots which gives better access the internet so we plan to install boosters. This will hopefully counter this unfortunate hazard in large buildings with thick stone walls. I am sorry if you happened to be part of the family unaware that you could have had access to our internet network! I thought it was a mutually agreed policy! Kind regards, Sarah

We had a fantastic week at la Ferme des Touterelles this summer. The gite is very spacious and comfortable, and immaculately presented. Sarah and James were the perfect hosts and always on hand to offer advice and ensure our stay was going well, but never invading our privacy. Beautiful grounds with loads of space for all the outdoor activities such as table tennis, boules, badminton, football and of course swimming in the fabulous pool. The kids loved it, as did the adults! Whenever any of us get a sniff of lavendar now we are transported back to the pool side, where it was plentiful! Graham did lots of cycling during our stay and enjoyed the quiet rolling roads. We loved the look of the little villages are were surprised how like the South of France it was. Would highly recommend a stay here, you will be made most welcome!

There are lovely panoramas of the rolling hills, forests of the regional natural park and farm land which offers such tranquility punctuated by the sounds of birds. We visited in August this year with friends. We shared the largest of the properties and were not disappointed. It was perfect for a two families. The living space is very big with ample, comfy sofas and a lovely big dining table. However, we mostly ate outside on the terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped, with more than enough crockery for two families. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, my husband has health problems so a ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom, was most welcome. Upstairs there was another ensuite bedroom and then two bedrooms sleeping 2 and 3 (with an extra bed). The further bathrooms were most welcome with large numbers. The whole property was beautiful. The grounds were so relaxing with stunning views. The pool area was well looked after and we were lucky with the weather so made use of it everyday. Sarah and James were excellent hosts, there when needed. We were absolutely thrilled with our holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return, very relaxing. A fabulous week, thank you
