Detailed Reviews
We were greeted personally and professionally by the owner. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. There was a pub just down the road which we used and provided good food for a very reasonable price, our host thoughtfully provided us with reflective vests to wear as going there does involve a 400 yard walk along a main road with not payment. We didn't opt for the full English breakfast, instead had croissants which were fresh. Altogether an excellent stay for the price.

We stayed at Windylands a couple of times when we were en-route and back to Cornwall house-hunting in 2019/20
We were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and chatty and interested in what had brought us to Windylands, such a nice couple and quintessentially English.
There was a nice field within the property grounds to walk our dog around in the mornings and evenings but the area is so quiet, the perfect place to stay and just maybe a mile away from the M5 motorway, but you wouldn't know it.
We would happily stay at Windylands again if we were in the area looking for a place to stay.

Had an overnight stay after attending a concert at Badminton. We had a twin room with views looking right out over the fields. Lovely clean room with tv, fridge and tea and coffee tray. Richard was the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming.
Next morning, we went down to breakfast in a beautiful dining room where there was a choice of cereals, grapefruit and yoghurt followed by a full English breakfast and then toast and marmalade, perfectly cooked and it was delicious.
Highly recommend staying here!

Exceptionally clean and well presented double room. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Lovely big garden which we sat out in and enjoyed a drink. Room was a bit small and sink too small to be practicable. Would also like a lock on the door . Hosts very friendly and helpful. Lovely fresh well cooked breakfast. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

Just returned home after a one night stay at Windylands. I was on a mini road trip visiting NT properties as my original holiday plans cancelled due to Covid.
I had the en suite twin room, plenty of room, the bed was excellent, but so was the lovely wing back chair as I managed to sleep part of the night in there as so comfortable!
Enjoyed looking at the rural view and watching the sheep in the field opposite!
Breakfast was huge, I couldn't eat it all, but very tasty.
I would like to say a big thank you to Richard and Jennifer the hosts, nothing too much trouble. It was nice to stay somewhere with lovely traditional furniture.

First class host in Richard, an amazing breakfast and great tips to get us “back on track” on our Cotswolds Way walk (Windylands is a little off the track, but (with Richard’s help) extremely easy to get back on track !!).
A nice room with a nice view, would well recommend !!

I am writing this for my parents Mary and Tony who stayed here last night. They were over the moon and say that they couldn't have wished for better. Their room was very comfortable. They loved seeing the sheep from their window. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming. Secure parking. The breakfast was amazing. They highly recommended!

I booked a one night stay at this B&B several weeks before the stay. I travelled after work and arrived at 09:45pm. I was told that they don't let people in that late and I should go away. I was absolutely gobsmacked. This was the most surreal experience of 'paid for accommodation' I'd ever experienced. Thinking about it afterwards, he'd probably double booked and was looking for an excuse to get rid of me. 4 Hours from home with nowhere to stay.

I stayed 1 night at this bed and breakfast. It was just off A46, but can be difficult to find in the dark. The owner was most welcoming when I arrived, even though I arrived after the time agreed with her. The room was very cosy and warm, with a new toilet and shower. Because of my early departure next morning, she packed me some sandwhiches to take away instead of breakfast. Very thoughtful.
Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

Location was too far to get back on Cotswold way. The owner is new at the B & B business. WiFi was sketchy...even though it was advertised as available. Need better customer service tact! The breakfast was generous but the room we had was very tight!
