A beautiful house in the very centre of Nether Stowey. We had a wonderful stay; welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade jam.Just perfect. And with pictures of Coleridge in the bedroom!

A country B&B is the most extraordinary business concept. You welcome total strangers in to your home, you allow them to sleep under your roof, you serve them breakfast and you treat them like long lost friends. It's not something that easy thing to do well. Poole House is the finest example of an English country B&B I've ever visited....

Poole House the residence of Thomas Poole a great friend to Coleridge and this residence originally backed onto Coleridge's own garden.... Place seeps history to lovers of the Romantic school of literature. Rick and Teresa are doing Poole House up in a very sympathetic and you get to sleep...

Wonderful stay at Poole House, fantastic hosting by Teresa who went above and beyond more than once. Amazing room (Thomas Poole room), delicious breakfast, wish I could have spent more time there however bridesmaid-ing kept my time at the B&B short but very sweet. Hope to return very soon to explore Nether Stowey and to spend more time soaking/swimming in...

Fabulous room, clean, tidy and enough room to swing a hippo! Breakfast that can only be described as a (lasts) all day breakfast......brilliant! Teresa and Rick are perfect hosts who take enormous pride in their business as well as being thoroughly engaging and great fun. Their restaurant and pub recommendations were first class during our 4 night stay.

We had two nights at Poole House and found it wonderfully comfortable and relaxing. We loved the room which was delightfully decorated with a fabulous new en suite and lots of little thoughtful touches. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Nether Stowey is charming and friendly.

Fantastic accommodation with very friendly hosts. Lovely spot for exploring the nearby Quantock Hills or Samuel Coleridge National Trust property. We needed something handy for a wedding reception at Quantock Lakes, and this was perfect. Hearty breakfast after a peaceful and deep night's sleep, highly recommended.
