We run the sort of guesthouse that we would want to stay at. That's why we cook good simple food, buy locally and have our own microbrewery. We are relaxed, un-stuffy and welcome dogs. A great place for walking, mountain biking, sightseeing and, above all, relaxing. So, turn off the Blackberry and have a good time.

Thank you for this. Many people ask if the front rooms are noisy. The answer - the road leads onto the Quantocks and very few people travel over them by night. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Thank you for this. Secure parking is important and once the big white gates are closed, no one can see in. This also makes The Old Cider House mountain bike and dog friendly.

Lovely weekend break, two nights. Owners very welcoming and helpful, Nether Stowey and the surrounding Quantock Hills are excellent for walking or mountain biking. We walked straight from the Old Cider House onto the hills; so many places to see. 3 pubs in the village, plenty of

Once here, leave the car behind for a few days and enjoy the hills. All three pubs within two minutes walk.

Just back from an overnight stay here, had a brilliant time. Such a warm welcome, even (or especially for!) for our dog Gibson - room was lovely with a massive king size bed, was spotlessly clean with a coffee machine and all the usuals. Although the room was at the front facing

Thank you for this. You are right about the breakfast. We make our own bread and preserves and use the local butcher for bacon and sausages. Regards to Gibson.
