We were on a Luxury Escape getaway with our friends. This was pure luxury. From the moment we were picked up from the airport, we were indulged and spoilt. The resort itself was out of this world with the personal infinity pool at our villa to the restaurant, spa and gym. The staff were amazing and service impeccable. It was the little touches and attention to detail that made our stay so special. I would thoroughly recommend.

The villa offers an incredible view over the ocean. It is very modern and luxurious, the pool, kitchen and living room on the first floor, the bedroom and bathroom on a kind of gallery on a second floor. Service and staff are perfect also. The gym is really nice and offers all usual equipment. Breakfast is good, even if we prefer big self service buffets. Here you have to chose 1 dish on the menu which will be served at your table and then there is a small buffet where you can help yourself with fruits, juices and some bread and croissant (but little choice)

We spent 1 week at Kata Rocks, and our stay was perfect. Room is beautiful, service is very responsive, breakfast is very qualitative, with some items to order and some from the buffet. Location is 20' drive to Patong (lot of restaurant and night life) and 5' drive to Kata Noi Beach, much nicer than Kata beach)

Never written a review before but felt it was important to warn others of the bad points in relation to Kata Rocks particularly due to the price of the rooms.

Firstly, the hotel itself has not been maintained (rust on the canopies) well during the pandemic & the room itself was dirty & lots of stains on the cushions.

Secondly, the pool can be used by anyone visiting Phuket, not only guests at the hotel. This results in large groups of youngsters who don’t stay at the hotel staying at the pool during the day. It’s not exclusive to guests at the hotel which isn’t correct considering the price you pay for a room here.

Thirdly, the food at breakfast was just inedible!. Shocking for a 5 star hotel!. My partner enjoys Thai food so we had a night at the restaurant and again, we didn’t finish the food it was so bad.

Lastly, the pool in your villa is not private. There is a small separation of a wall with a large cut out hole where you can see the guests in the next room. There just isn’t any privacy here.

I’ve stayed in Phuket on & off for over ten years & stayed in so many good hotels. It baffles me how some people think this hotel is a good hotel.

At this price point, there are so many better hotels in Phuket. Please take this advice, save your money & find a hotel which treats its guest first as opposed to people coming in off the streets using the pool for the day. Kata Rocks is definitely not for couples looking for exclusivity.

Hope this review saves someone having the experience we had & saves you money.

Thanks….

We spent 5 nights at this property in a 2 bedroom sky pool villa and it was indeed infinite luxury! Our villa was extremely spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area. The decor was super chic and modern, tastefully done in white. It felt like we were in Europe! Every villa has its own private infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea and the sunset is just breathtaking!
This property has the latest technology, all the villas are fitted with an interactive ipad system allowing guests to control the environment with the touch of a button which was so convenient.
All the staff are very polite and attentive. Breakfast is served a la carte style, in the open air restaurant by the infinity pool, offering a great choice of healthy options. The quality of the food was good and every dish was cooked to perfection.
My husband had a massage in the spa and was very impressed. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience and said it was one of the best massages he'd had.
We really had a wonderful stay at this hotel and will definitely go back. It is truly the perfect place to unwind and relax in a luxurious setting! A big thank you to Gordon Aeria, GM, Khun Oh (Rsvn Mgr) and the entire team for giving us an unforgettable stay. We can' wait to come back and enjoy the hospitality of the KR team!

We just come back home after a magnificent 6 days at Kata Rocks, we booked a 4 bedrooms because of the pool and view. Everything is massive and lots of room to move about. The villa itself is beautiful and yet very functional with a big kitchen. I bet nobody would want to leave the pool, it is big enough for 4 swimming and playing , unbelievably view overlooking Adaman Sea and hearing the waves gently splashing the rocks - are all we need.

After enjoying the 1st breakfast the next day waking up so full of energy looking forward to spa visit, once in, I know that I am in heaven, thanks to Mira and her team, Woody whom explained and suggested the treatment according to my need, thanks to Kook and Aris , whom has performed magic to me and my husband every day. We daily spa 2 hours after breakfast, seeing our fatigue and tiredness going away and here comes a more restored body and mind. This is something we are very thankful to the award winning Infinite luxury Spa, I visited the spa for 4 days and wrap up the last massage treatment with a beautiful manicure and pedicure done by Pla, what a nice journey I have been with this luck to bump into a good spa like this. So amazing and thank you again to the spa !

Another team I need to thank are all other Rocks stars, the reception team are so wonderful helping day in day out, thanks to Ang, Jason, Eaky, Mamrin and Viewly whom help us calling and booking taxis, sorted out with Engineers to fix the pool bar lighting and book restaurant at other place to eat ! The housekeepers are so professional and everyday once made up the rooms, the floors smell wonderful, the room and linens are neatly placed and they smell wonderfully, I saw them once and it took them 3-4 rockstars to clean this 4 bedroom villa and to restore all swim towels and refill the fridge with drinks. wow this is not easy and they made it so effortless and so attentive, I would like to thanks the 4 engineers to fit the pool bar lights which made the villa looks even more beautiful during night swimming! Oh it was really nice ! Thank you so much. And off course the sumptuous breakfasts served in the restaurant by Kookai and her team, I will start practicing to make a healthy granola smoothies bowl like yours, so yummy ! And all the buggy drivers took us up and down and to near Main Street, thank you so much!

We love the villa so much this trip and staying at Kata Rocks going home thinking of swimming in the pool , listening to seawaves, the heavenly spa treatments and the happy family time together!

Thank you Kata Rocks 💕🍾🥂🍹🥣🧋🍵💕

As returning guests you wonder whether a venue that created such special memories on a previous visit will disappoint. I should not have had any doubts, wow, wow, wow, we returned twice for sunset drinks and dinner on our recent trip to Phuket and words cannot describe what special evenings we had. The food, drinks and hospitality are excellent and deserve 5*’s. We ate from both the Thai and Western menu, and savoured every mouthful. Michael Movano should be commended, as a restaurant manager he excels and he goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a wonderful experience at Kata Rocks. Thank you all, you have yet again created lifelong memories.

We stayed in Jan 2020. The weather was perfect and the service, rooms and facilities made our stay relaxing and luxurious. Our two bedroom villa was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and were alway there to help us with planning a day trip, restaurant or taxi. We loved the mobile phone provided so we could call to arrange a pick up. We loved our daily surprise goodnight snack - my kids loved this. The food is amazing - had a great variety of both western and Thai menu so you can mix it up. And all food was fresh and high quality. The cocktails were always perfect and yummy. We also enjoyed the daily Breakfast which was freshly cooked from a selection of fresh healthy options as well as a buffet of fruits, juices, Prosecco and sliced cheeses/meats and bakery items.
It was a special experience for us and we were not disappointed.

The best view on the island. Came here for some sunset drinks with friends and was blown away by the views. Set into the side of the cliff we got stunning panoramic views of the Phuket coastline and a gorgeous sunset. The pool is free to use if you are drinking/eating there and we very happily could have spent the entire weekend in that one spot.

The only note would be that drinks were very expensive and very small considering what you pay for them, but the view and the ambience makes it worth it in my opinion!

Omg Kata Rocks Resort is next level in luxury. The entire staff from reception, drivers, restaurant, bar, spa, room, pool and gardeners were extremely helpful and caring people, the staff greeted us by our first names which made you feel welcome. Our room was cleaned daily, fruit bowl was filled as well as the complimentary alcoholic drinks, bottles of water and milk daily, there was everything you needed in your kitchen as well as tea, coffee machine & pods. The villas have a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board. The restaurant is fine dining service although you don't need to dress up and the meals are outstanding. I myself due to hip issues was a little concerned about how steep the resort was but they issue each villa with a mobile phone to contact them at any time 24hrs eg reception, restaurant and the buggy service was very prompt to take you anywhere around the resort and to and from main road. We would love to highly recommend Kata Rocks, their amazing staff and their wonderful service .

Hi Mali M, thank you for your question. Our Front office team will ensure you have a smooth check-in and take copies of your passports. And when you order room service or as we call it our "In Villa Dining", our team will charge to your room which you can settle upon check out. Or another option is when you order room service you can mention to our dining team that you wish to pay by cash or credit card, then they won't charge to your room. Thanks again for your question, we look forward to welcoming you to Kata Rocks soon! Kata Rocks.

I don't remember exactly how much it costs but I think it was around $200/person for a day pass to access the pool & spa. I attempted to "blend in" and take a dip in the pool after eating breakfast as if I was a guest but was caught almost immediately. 100% worth going for the food, drinks, and view but not really worth $200 to do the rest in my opinion.

Our one bedroom sky villa had a king bed and I’d say the ocean loft would be the same. Funny, I could not find reference to the beds on the web site.

Not sure that they offer an all inclusive package. The meal cost around GBP£85 per head with only one glass of wine. However eating out in Thailand is cheap, great sea food and good quality. Eating at Kata Rocks was a birthday treat but which was fabulous. Hope this helps
