I recommend you Sawasdee Village. It surprised us from the very first steps. The scents, relaxing music and kind personnel made us feel like in Paradise. Sawasdee Village is located in the heart of Kata Beach and you can easily find everything you need nearby. We hardly noticed any mosquitos as they were spraying every day. People there were smiling and happy to help any time. The pools were wonderful and you can always find a quiet place to rest or swing in a bed while listening to the sound of waterfalls. It was wow.

We ate a street market court at very cheap prices and very tasteful and fresh food. We drank smoothies at 10 Bach. If you go there walk around and negotiate for Phi Phi and James Bond Islands trips at a local travel agency. They will make good offers. Do not step out of Sawasdee Village and enter the first travel agency over the street as it is more expensive. Also do not miss Fantasea and Simon Cabaret show.
You can find more information on my youtube channel - Kitty Travel - in the Thailand - exotic paradise playlist.

Amazing deco curated in every details. Walking around palms and orchids, thai decorations and water fountains, you just was to stop in every corner to take pictures. Staff are welcoming and friendly comparing to the Thai standards.

Room are quite small, you need to check carefully when you book as there are several options and level of price/accommodation. I noticed they are doing lots of works and renovating a full section, witch sounds really promising!
Location is a bit lost, we liked it, but some may want the buzzy of Puket (not for us)

My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Sawasdee Village. It was definitely the highlight of our holiday. We were originally booked into a garden view room, but it was a double room and being mother and daughter it wasn't appropriate for our needs. We upgraded to a Baray Villa and it was perfect. Staff were always very polite and happy to accommodate in any way possible. It was peak season so not all rooms were available for upgrade but we were so very happy to spend our time in Phuket at Sawasdee Village and totally recommend that we stay in the Baray Villa if possible.
Thanks Sawasdee, we will definitely return.

This is a beautiful Thai oasis near Kata Beach in Phuket. The Thai architecture is unbelievable and definitely provided the “Thai vibe” we were looking for. The whole property is well maintained, has manicured landscaping throughout the village and you have to see it at night when everything is lit up! The staff was very helpful, and everyone was so friendly. The breakfast buffet has very good selections and they will make you fresh eggs and omelets. They provide a shuttle to the beach, but it is an easy walk if you would like to stretch your legs. The 2 swimming pools are amazing, and both have swim up bars. The prices for food and beverages that can be purchased at the swim up bars or through room service are very reasonable and very good. The resort can be reached using the Phuket Smart Airport Bus from the airport to the Kata Beach area for 100 THB per person. You won’t be disappointed!

The hotel looks beautiful on the outside. It is unique in design and has some lovely features. That said, the room needed some TLC. The rooms and communal areas were very clean and there was a turndown service which was a nice touch! Overall I would not stay here again. We had huge trouble moving our booking, which would have been fine if we had not contacted the hotel directly first to check and been told this would be an easy process. The staff were polite but not overly helpful. This hotel was the most expensive place we stay during our whole trip by far and did not live up to our expectations at all. The food was also average in comparison to other places we had stayed for less than half the price. It was also really disappointing to find that online it says you are asked for either a deposit of $100 or to leave your passport with reception. Upon check in we were not given the option to leave a passport? If this is not an option it should not be advertised as one. Think carefully about what you are looking for out of this hotel. It is undoubtedly great for a photo opportunity but other than that there is nothing here that you can’t get for much cheaper elsewhere in Phuket. This may also just be a one off personal experience. Other reviews look great, but we just found a lack of compassion here and had experienced much better for much less money.

I absolutely love this hotel and cannot wait to return.
It is as the name says -- like a village with authentic Thai character throughout. I absolutely love Thai architecture and this is why I love this place.

Amazing service, spectacular facilties.
There are 3 types of room ...
1)Garden rooms which are in the front of the facility,
2) Cabana suite with direct pool access
3) Baray Villa.

We stayed in a Cabana suite which was amazing. You have direct access from the sun terrace to the pool. The pool could also be accessed directly from the shower in the en suite which is really handy.
The rooms are very large and well equipped.
Breakfast was fantastic.

The staff are truly amazing and I cannot compliment them enough - from reception to restaurant, spa, cleaning, bar, gardening and pool staff. They made you feel truly welcome.

I stayed here with my best friend at the end of Christmas week. We booked a twin garden view room. The little room was cute and casual. Nice private patio and we were in room 24? so on the end of our row and in a quiet area. The staff was kind and very helpful - directed us to motorbike rental, easily provided info on the beach shuttle, airport transfer, etc. As it was my friend and I, our room was great - it wasn't too romantic or anything like that. However, if I were going on honeymoon, I'd want something bigger for sure.

My friend said the room decor felt a little "theme park," however the grounds themselves were WONDERFUL. What everyone says is true! Really puts you in a great relaxing mood when you step into the property, especially at night. Very traditional and cozy.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel - it was just ok. Not bad at all, but nothing mmmmmh OMG amazing. We didn't try the restaurant at dinner. Around the hotel are a few restaurants. Short walk to more stuff down by the beach. No nightlife. Very much a family resort town. Sit and chill!

This place offers a Disney like experience. The decorations throughout the resort and room are over the top nice and take your stay to another level. Every corner of the resort has something different and new. The room was large and had nice amenities. The shower in the bathroom was amazing. I stayed in a room that was connected directly to the pool and it was amazing to be able to step right out of the shower into the pool and visa versa. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. My only nitpick about my room is that I could never get it cool enough. It was especially hot while I visited Thailand and at night I would sweat no matter how low I turned the air. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would consider staying here again under cooler circumstances.

You pull up on a side street and go onto an amazing resort. It really is beautiful. Almost mind blowing how it can be where it is in Phuket. The staff are all exceptional. We booked a swim up room for nine nights and loved the room and the fact we could go from the shower straight into the pool. Sadly the rooms and the balcony with the sun loungers don’t get any sun the whole day so it was disappointing we wasn’t made aware of that before we booked the more expensive room. There is a deck at the end of the cabanas for those who like to sunbathe and we got a lounger there every day. There is another lovely pool which also had plenty of sun beds. The decor in the room is again beautiful and I’m gutted I only realised the ceiling had stars on our last day at the flick of a switch. The breakfast was plentiful but lacked what the rest of the hotel offered. The same fruit was served everyday, the same food just rehashed from the day before and the bread was from a packet rather than loaves that you could freshly cut. There wasn’t any cakes or pastries. The egg lady was awesome though. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend for a few nights as it’s very samey if you stay longer.

There is much to love here, service in the hotel and pool area is superb, decor and layout is very well done too with a real effort to showcase Thai culture and design but without ticking too many stereotypes. The pools are lovely especially the one that provides the backdrop to the Baray Villas and is ideal for a morning or evening swim. The location is excellent too.
The aspect that most appealed to us though was, bizarrely, how Christmassy the decor felt, lots of gold and dark wood with heavy curtains in the villas made it as ideal a substitute for a homespun Christmas morning as we could have hoped for and our children managed to get into the spirit with the help of the fairy lights and spotlights all around the site.
Minor gripes were the fact that the shower took some time to warm up although that is fairly common on a Thai island. major gripe was how terrible the food offering was. We had a Christmas Eve meal where we waited twenty minutes for a drink to be brought and a further twenty for the first of seven courses to arrive. When they came the dishes themselves piled disappointment on disappointment with insipid flavours and presentation culminating in a banana in coconut milk dessert that had all the appeal of cold congee coloured with cigarette ash. We gave the restaurant a second chance for breakfast on the final day and this was passable for a provincial Novotel in the UK but very poor for a venue with such high standards elsewhere. There are lots of good breakfast and evening meal options elsewhere close by, we liked Italian Job for breakfast and The Tavern for dinner and if you avoid the food Sawasdee is a lovey place to spend some or all of a Phuket vacation.
