This is my first review here on TripAdvisor, but we enjoyed our stay so much I thought I'd write one. My boyfriend and I stayed at Mein Inselglück for a last minute, one-night weekend getaway to explore Lake Constance, and what an awesome discovery! While the price is a splurge for us, we thought the overall experience was worth it :) The hotel decor in the common areas and rooftop terraces are beautiful and sophisticated. The breakfast was absolutely great. Everyone, from the reception to the waiters to the cleaning staff were warm and smiling, which made for a great atmosphere! We're young, and so we usually get ignored or disinterested service in fancier places, but this was definitely not the case here. And lovely perk -- the welcome espresso because the check-in line was "long" :)

Other nice amenities: steam-room and sauna are great. Renting a tandem bike from them for a day is cheaper than at the local bike rental shop and very convenient. The hair dryer is actually strong enough to dry long hair :) WiFi was reliable.

The only tiny drawbacks would be the quality of the sheets, the lights, and the creme brulee at dinner (it's one of my boyfriend's favorite desserts that he orders everywhere, and this one was so overpowered by lemon to the point it tasted like a nice lemon curd, but no longer like creme brulee). The lights except for the bed-side reading lights were a bit dim for our tastes, but switches were thoughtfully placed around the room. As for the sheets, the fitted sheet was a bit scratchy and the linen duvets were starting to unravel at the seams. But we woke up refreshed and well-rested, so obviously the bedding didn't disturb our sleep ;)

If you like going away from crowds of other tourists, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful locale, Mein Inselglueck is wonderful. We'd like to come back again to try out the packages (sailing plus tandem bike plus dinner).

This is a fairly new hotel. The rooms are modern, the Wifi works (really well, too!), and the conference room is excellent.

The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The food was quite good in the restaurant and the outdoor seating is really nice, with views of the lake. There's also a good selection of local beers and wines.

The bed was comfortable, but spartan. They could do with more than one pillow. (And the one I had was quite thin.)

Not much English is spoken here (there is exactly and only one copy of the English restaurant menu), but enough that you'll be okay.

Stopped for dinner while visiting the area. Food was good but portions were a bit small size. Service a bit slow but waitresses were very kind. Recommend, as it seems good class restaurant but not for big meals.

I spent two nights with my family at the hotel in early July for my brother's wedding. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is well located on the island. The owners are the problem. I had never met before people owning a hotel, who don't like having guests. Their attitude was absolutely terrible, complaining about Holden playing in the yard, complaining about cars parked in front of the hotel, etc. My brother and his wife had spent months preparing for their special day and the attitude of the owner almost ruined it. One simple idea for them: don't organize weddings if you don't like parties (we had booked the entire hotel by the way). And if you do, try at least to pretend you're happy about it. We paid for the facility and for a smile as well.

New modern Hotel, but comfy. Good Kitchen, excellent breakfast. Rooms are modern but cozy, quiet, big balcony. Super Sauna and very good Massage-Programm. Bike rent in the hotel (incl. E-Bike). Nice to bike around the Island, easy and short ride to Konstanz. Free ride by public transport (bus and train) with guest Card to Konstanz for shopping. Great day tour from the hotel with bike and public boat along the lake and rhine to the goreous little old town Stein am Rhein!! A great place to relaxe.

We had a beautiful romantic dinner in the restaurant of the hotel on last Wednesday. It was a special menu for 2, four courses with the excellent wine. Everything was delicious, presented in a beautiful way. The value for money was absolutely great. The service was tip top. Very kind and proffessional staff. The design is also very nice, modern but warm and cosy. A beautuful view of the lake from the terrace.
When we come to Reichenau we will definitely come and dine here again.

Had a very pleasant dinner with our family of four. Great steak, veggie burger and kid's snitzel. The waitress was accommodating, friendly and helpful. We loved the decor. Just the kids spaghetti could be made a bit more simple and kid friendly. Overall, however, great evening.

I'm living in Konstanz and love to go out for breakfast in the weekend. Last week, I tried this location for the first time together with a friend. We greatly enjoyed the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere on the terrace away from the Saturday traffic in Konstanz. The buffet totally fulfilled our expectations and was absolutely worth the 15 EUR/person. I will go there again for sure!

"My boyfriend and I booked the Dopplezimmer Komfort and just two things to be aware of it: it has two twin beds pushed together and nothing to cover the crack in the center. Our room balcony faced the backyard of a private house with younger kids, so if you like to sleep in late and are incredibly picky about noise, you might want to request another room. We don't have either of those problems, and I'm only talking about outside noise -- at night, we slept with the balcony door open (there's a bug screen) and we couldn't hear anything from hotel guests or surrounding neighbors or cars!"
