Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

OMG, stopped here tonight on the off chance of getting a table because we knew they would be busy due to it being half term,… we were not wrong, the place was packed, which we knew had to be a good sign to having some nice food… we managed to get the last available table in the bar… we both ordered Steak Hogies, and we’re not disappointed, the food was absolutely amazing, and just as good as we had remembered from our previous visit. Even though they were obviously very busy the staff were fantastic, and we could not of wished for better service!! Well done to the whole team, we will definitely be back again soon!!

Super staff. Helpful, friendly and mostly very, very young! Carvery is excellent as well, very tasty. Only problem is its popularity but helps create a welcoming atmostshere. Whoever recruits the staff is doing an excellent job, never met an unenthused member. Only moved to the area 7 months ago and myself and partner have been to the cafe over 70 times would you believe.

just been to the carvery...again. first rate food but have to be careful not to be too greedy and take too much. have been many times over the last few years and am always impressed. The place seems to be run by about 12 or so youngsters and have to say they do a superb job. They are well turned out, professional and good fun.

We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to Snetterton Race Circuit, there’s a dearth of good accommodation in the immediate area, & Breckland Lodge is a less then 10 minute drive. Rooms are fairly basic, & ours was rather dark & gloomy - if we stayed again we’d opt for a first floor room as they have bigger windows. Beds were comfortable enough, the shower had plenty of oomph, & tea/coffee making facilities are provided. On the downside, our TV glitched constantly. Staff were wonderful throughout the hotel - really helpful & friendly, & it’s they who made the difference & won us round to the place. We found the restaurant & bistro rather charmless spaces, particularly the restaurant, which encompasses a carvery. We didn’t come with high expectations but food was actually very tasty, the breakfast too. Overall then - decent value accommodation with terrific staff.

We were caravanning in Great Ellingham and saw your menu in the information folder. We had booked for the carvery. What a brilliant experience! lovely young staff, well trained and attentive. Enjoyable meal. plenty of choice. Manager came over to discuss my husbands allergy to make sure they had got it correct. Will definitely be returning. Thank you all.

As always, Breckland Lodge never fails to please. VERY comfortable rooms, well maintained and properly cleaned. The bed was super-comfy. The food (evening meals and breakfasts) was hot and tasty. Decent wine list to choose from. Staff friendly and professional. We'll be back!

This is a lovely hotel. I stayed in a triple single bed room with my parents. It was very clean, well maintained and there was plenty of space for us all. We booked and ate in the restaurant and the receptionist even managed to get us in earlier. The food was absolutely incredible. I had a burger with Camembert and parmesan fries. For dessert the Banoffee Roulade. If we lived closer it would become one of my favourite pubs, that's for sure. The staff were all polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The meal was also very reasonably priced. A truely enjoyable stay and would love to return when we're next in the area. Thank you.

Very pleased with our stay at this lodge. Three adults shared a clean, comfortable room. Dinner in the evening was excellent. Two of us had the carvery and one had the camemburger, which we all enjoyed. Two free desserts came with the carvery and including drinks the bill came to £55 which was really good value, no wonder the dining room was full! Staff were friendly and helpful. I just wish we lived nearer.
