Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very friendly welcome, spotlessly clean and nice warm room on a cold wet evening. Good selection of teas and coffees in the room. Good location to stay when visiting Snetterton race circuit. Easy walking distance to a variety of good eateries.

The hotel is tired and in need of some tender loving care, such a shame, it has so much potential. The kettle in our room was grubby, as was the bathroom sink tap. There was a spillage on the carpet from a previous guest/s that could easily have been easily cleaned. The bathroom door didn't close properly unless it was locked. Most worrying was the gap around the door, although there was intumescent strip around it, it wouldn't have delayed smoke entering the room in case of a fire.

Sherbourne House Hotel is a lovely family run hotel with staff who could not be more helpful or accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, the Full English superb, tea & coffee piping hot, the rooms were all spacious, bright and clean and we had copious amounts of hot water. We will certainly stay again when we come to Norfolk next time.

What a place and Pauline was great. Lovely house, great room and what a breakfast - cooked to perfection. Not far of the A11 so access is easy and their direction are great. Super place to stay to explore Norfolk! Will be back!

I have been staying at Sherbourne House for over 10 years when on business in Norfolk. Every stay has been very pleasant with clean rooms, warm showers, comfortable beds and friendly staff. I look forward to further stays in the future.

I stayed here with my family and we stayed in the junior suite. It was a really big room that I couldn’t fault. The bathroom was shiny clean and they provided lots of toiletries. We didn’t hear any road noise and had the windows open and still it was silent. There was a wide range of options for breakfast and the owner catered for all of our needs. A list of local restaurants was sent to us before our stay which was really helpful. When I mentioned it was my daughters birthday the owner bought her a card and sweets which was so thoughtful. We had a great couple of nights here and I would highly recommend it.

I would not recommend this place for two main reasons. The noise from the adjacent road was relentless, so we were unable to relax in the room. Secondly, the proprietor is unprofessional. She appears reasonably friendly when taking your money, but has a nasty side should you ask for anything to be resolved. After checking in, the proprietor disappeared and I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to locate her. After trying to phone from the reception area, she eventually appeared from a building behind the hotel accompanied by a scruffy large man with an equally aggressive demeanour.

A beautifully presented hotel, in a great position. Gorgeous room and most comfortable beds. I can not fault anything, so clean, well decorated and all bedrooms different. We had the junior suite and had bath and separate shower, not the most powerful shower but plenty of hot water. Towels where soft and good size. Plenty of toiletries as well as cotton wool, shower caps. Lovely tea, coffee and hot chocolate selection in room, with biscuits. Breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked and very tasty. The staff were wonderful very friendly, helpful and excellent service. Now we have found this gem of a hotel we shall stay there every visit we have to Norfolk.
