We stayed for 2 nights during low season. We were one of a handful of people staying at the time so the lodge was very quiet. It's a charming lodge, with friendly staff and a beautiful setting with views to the mountains. The rooms are...More
I stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed my time at the hotel. Traveling with friends but staying by myself was no issue, and no discrimination in rooms - we were both put in large cottage style accommodation, with the most comfortable king beds. Overall...More

Sorry for the late response. Our East Africa tour package included a driver/guide and vehicle for our stay in Rwanda. We drove from Kigali to the Mountain View Lodge and back to Kigali. Be advised that the Lodge is NOT within walking distance (it is a 15-20 minute drive) to the Park Headquarters or to the treks for the Mountain Gorillas and the Golden Monkeys. A vehicle with driver should be considered a necessity.
