I’ve been visiting Le Bambou since 2011 when it was just a few double bandas, with some lovely flower beds and a little bit of bamboo. Now it sits in a virtual bamboo forest! The original bandas are made from volcanic rock and each has a fireplace. Divine! The owner has invested heavily in building new cottages, particularly family size...

We spent two very comfortable nights at the lodge and were very happy. We highly recommend it. The service was very good and friendly, and the food very home style. It is a very comfortable place that is great for families and friends who are spending a few days hiking in the Volcanoes National Park. The rooms are comfortable and...

This hotel definitely gets the job done given that it is in a pretty remote location. The staff are warm and friendly and really try to help make your stay comfortable. We stayed here the night before gorilla trekking which was was a great choice given it's proximity to the park entrance. Food was warm and plentiful and they were...

Nestled away from the main road between Kinigi and the National Park, Le Bambou offers a homely, warm and cosy place to stay. After 3 long days, the staff made us feel re-energised, cleaned our boots and offered us lovely fresh coffee to warm us through. The room was spacious and relaxing, warmed by an open fire in front of...

We stayed here two nights in December. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the meals are all excellent. They also make you a little snack bag to take with you on your Gorilla trek. The place is showing its age but we liked the quirky factor. We got them to arrange the airport transfer from Kigali each way...

Our 2 night stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge when we went on a gorilla trek in Rwanda just made our memories even better. The staff could not be more attentive and welcoming, the food delicious and the views spectacular. We arranged a driver to take us to the start of the trek with the hotel, and they sent us...

The service and food were fantastic, the room was extremely spacious and private and the grounds were beautiful. It was everything we could have wanted on the night before our gorilla trek. Added bonus - they packed us a snack to take on the trek and cleaned our shoes after we got back which was so incredible.

We had a fantastic experience at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the evening fires kept the room perfectly warm. The staff was very accommodating and ensured we were well taken care of throughout our stay, even going so far as to clean our shoes after the trek. Alex, our guide and driver, was super...

We were shifted here for one night when the nearby Mountain Garden View Lodge failed to honor our prepaid reservations, claiming that renovations were underway and they were overbooked. The staff at Le Bambou were very welcoming and understanding of our plight. The rooms are large with VERY loud fabrics and a mishmash of furniture. Our bathroom was very large...
