Lovely inn in a delightful small village. Simon and Maria made us feel very much at home. We stayed in the Hardy room, which was spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless. Dinner in the inn was excellent- best steak and ale pie of our entire trip through the south of England. We would definitely stay there again if in the...

Well, what can I say. I don't often feel compelled to review hotels, but we've had such a lovely stay I felt it deserved sharing. A great little country pub! Spotlessly clean, wonderful food, a spacious, comfortable well equipped room, and staff that couldn't do more to help! We had a flat tyre on the Sunday morning, and were invited...

I suspect 99.9% of British people have never heard of Chetnole, but if you say an hour west of Salisbury, some will have a rough notion where it is. Regardless, Chetnole Inn is a small, older inn with tastefully decorated bedrooms and a pleasant dining area serving very good food. The surrounding country is often beautiful. The couple who own...

Fantastic location in the heart of the village. Ideal for exploring the locality. Food was excellent, service superb and the staff very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. A proper English Country Pub!

My wife and I stayed recently at the Chetnole Inn. Only a mile or so from the main road but miles away from the hustle and bustle. From the time we arrived until we left the staff were helpful, pleasant and attentive - I wish more places could be like this! We stayed 2 nights in the HARDY room which...

Travelling back from Weymouth on A37 just looking for a stop off for lunch, saw a sign for this place so just went for it - what a beautiful find, really homely feel with a warm welcome. Monkfish scampi starter was absolutely lovely served with a medley of salad, not your usual cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce but instead packed with...

Staff had a nice welcome for us with our two dogs in the snug there were around 6 dogs in there and all were well behaved. Food was excellent and a good choice for my coeliac partner and at a very reasonable price would definitely go back again when in Dorset.

My husband and I have just spent a 2 night weekend at The Chetnole Inn. What a fabulous place!! We arrived at about 7.00 p.m. on the Friday evening, a little later than hoped, and we were greeted by three smiling faces behind the bar. Maria introduced herself as the landlady and showed us to our room, which was named...

As two Californians visiting Chetnole for the first week in September, we really enjoyed the meals and the drinks when visiting the Chetnole Inn. The owners were super friendly (with totally excellent children!) and the staff really helpful. Whether we came in for drinks only (at least nightly!), or for a meal (which we did three times), the service was...
