Karon Tropics is a great place to stay! We got even more than what we've paid... The room was more spacious than the last place we've stayed, with the same price... 5 mins walk to the beach, 10 mins walk to the artshop, and you'll experience the flee market on the weekend just across the road... The owner Rocky was... More

I stayed at karon tropics for over 2 weeks. Room was clean and tidy. Everything you need. Large double bed, fridge, safe, large wardrobe, dressing table, air conditioning and a ensuite shower room. Room 9 had a large balcony looking over temple where there is a market twice a week. The staff are very friendly and there is a bar... More

Stayed there for 5 days, the owner Rocky were really friendly and helpful. The bar were excellent , open til very late. 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. Shops, restaurants and travel agents, all of them just at walking distance. Very good value for money. Will I stay there again and recommend it to friends and families? Yes, 100%.

Stayed at Karon Tropics in Feb 2012 . Rooms were spacious and clean. Reasonably priced at 800 baht a night. The owner Rocky is full of useful information. The restaurant and bar downstairs was changing hands at the time I was there. It is now an Australian sports bar with multiple TVs and great Aussie food. I had a great... More

Backpacking as a couple we stayed at KT for 3 nights in late December 2011. We paid 850THB p/n for a spacious double en suite room with air con, warm water, balcony, fridge and TV. The room felt a little bit tired but generally okay. We didn't really feel that we got good value for money, but in fairness to... More

I wasn't able to stay here because the owner had just moved into the room he had promised me which I reserved a month before arriving. He did get me fixed up in a hotel next door, but they didn't speak any English. Since it was my first time in Karon (and Thailand), I had a lot of questions that... More

We stayed for 4 nights during Christmas of 2011. We had a room with balcony with nice view on the street. The room and bathroom were very clean. A/C, fridge, safety deposit box and Wi-Fi included in the room. The guesthouse is centrally located, opposite of the Karon Temple, walking distance to the beach and bars/restaurants. Highly recommended.

“Balcony rooms are a bit load but worth the view.”

“The only thing that I would add, and this depends on the character of the visitor... if you're like me and don't come home til the small hours then it might be worth considering sleeping at the back of the house as the sun rises from the front of the building and it can make it difficult to sleep, as well as the noise of the traffic when it gets busy. However, if you are a 'normal' person then this will have no bearing on you and you should take full advantage of the moring sun and the views from your balcony!”

“The rooms in the front have the best view, but can get a little noisy. If you need quiet, just ask for a room in the back.”
