Island Escape Burasari offers a peaceful retreat, with guests frequently commending the hotel's serene atmosphere and clean facilities. While the live music adds to the inviting vibe, some guests feel the nightlife options are limited. The rooms are lauded for their spaciousness and design, yet issues with privacy and service have been noted.
Travelers enjoy the various amenities, though experiences with service consistency vary. Despite the tranquil location, which some find too isolated, the hotel is often criticized for not providing adequate value due to high costs.

We were so fortunate to be able to stay at Island Escape in June during its soft opening. At this time, fifteen villas are available for you to have an impeccable stay. From the pre-arrival communications onward, the experience was nothing short of outstanding.
The resort is beautiful with lovely landscaping. The 2, 3 and 4 bedroom villas all have ocean views. The villas have been designed smartly with elegant, functional features. The private pools are long enough for quick laps and perfect for a lazy afternoon. The main pool already open is huge and the beach is peaceful with gorgeous views.
On a tour of the areas still under construction, we can tell this will be an amazing resort. The restaurants and common spaces appear to be well planned, though if you go now you will be pampered in your villa far from the construction noise.
Due to its soft opening status and the COVID-19 situation, we were the only guests during our stay, which meant we received top-notch service from every staff member. Regardless, you can tell this staff will always strive to replicate this level of service regardless of the number of guests. There are so many staff to thank for our incredible stay: Alice, our incredible villa host who is an expert in providing amazing service; Em, the activities coordinator who put us through many challenging workouts during our stay; Pom, the F&B manager, Sasika, the chef and Dream, the barista, who made delicious meals and treated us with a fun cocktail making class; Don, our villa housekeeper who kept everything spotless; Mook, who greeted us upon arrival; and North, the village manager who contacted us prior to arrival and checked in daily to ensure our stay was the best possible.
Island Escape is easily a highlight in our 13+ months of continuous travel. It is currently providing outstanding service in its fifteen villas and will soon be offering it to more guests when the resort fully opens. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here as soon as you can!

If you look for exclusivity and seclusion for your next trip this “Island Escape” resort may be the one. It is a five star resort with seaside pool villa, full of superb amenity and VIP service from their highly trained and friendly staff.
We feel that at Island Escape the service seems a bit different from other luxury five star hotel chain in that it still retain a local Thai warm feel yet intimately catering service from their staff.
Our two-bed villa comes with spacious and comfortable two bed rooms with a central living area full with kitchen, BBQ stove, and dining area next to the pool.
There are three unique parts that set this resort afar from others.
First you can go to nearby seafood farms, buy live lobster, fish, or other seafood, and bring back for your dinner with your own way cooked by personal Chef at your villa. We loved grilled lobster and crab, so fresh that you can feel and see them and enjoy the fresh tender seafood.
Second you can hire a long tailed boat to a nearby Rang Yai island for your “cast away” picnic trip for only you and your loved one. We had a great time on our “own” island with true reclusion and tranquility.
Third you can order a local food served on the bamboo floating plate for your breakfast. This is a great unique experience that is very rare in any luxury hotel.
Also the coconut island where the resort is located is a small quiet place even only 10-min boat ride from Phuket. It has a small Muslim community that you can visit for a local feel.
Come and experience unique intimacy yet luxury VIP stay here.

Dear suwatss, Thank you for taking time to write such a comprehensive and appreciative review. We are so delighted to hear that enjoyed our unique "island experiences", including excursions to get fresh seafood, the 'cast away' picnic experience and our local meets luxury dining experience. Absolute luxury, impeccable service, exclusive locale and an entirely comforting, down to earth experience is exactly what we hope for our guests, and we are glad to hear that Island Escape by Burasari was able to live up to our promise. Kind regards, Woralak Bangprasert General Manager

Island Escape provided myself and my Family an amazing and wonderful experience during our stay last week.
As we arrived to the pier, we were greeted and assisted by ‘’Khun Jay’ whom assisted us to park our car and handle our luggage to the awaiting Thai style long-tail boat. The short boat trip the the resort pier was comfortable and it offered a time to calm down and enjoy some fresh air, whilst leaving the mainland and stress behind on our way to this unique and exclusive island resort.
Upon arrival to the resort, we were greeted and taken care of by ‘Khun Ruby’ whom was an absolute star, looking after all our needs thru-out our stay together with her ‘Klan’ team. All staff in the resort was so wonderful and helpful. They really made us feel at home and special.
We used the hotel FB service to our villa for both lunch and dining and can recommend the great sets available for grilled seafood. Such a unique dining experience with charcoal grilling and well prepared fresh food.
During the day, we could relax and enjoy our beautiful and large Ocean villa but we also saw there were new pool access villas or deluxe rooms that are excellent for Families with kids with water slides into a very clean pool.
We really enjoyed our stay at Island Escape and were so impressed with the facilities and especially the Staff and Management. Truly recommend Island Escape to everyone whom wish to experience a relaxing and unique, island resort with super private and personal attention to service and facilities. Can’t be missed.

From the moment we were taken across the water via long tail boat, our experience was truly incredible. Island Escapes is a pure tropical paradise, we stayed in the deluxe pool access room which was quaint, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very attentive and helpful in arranging anything we needed. Paddle boarding was free and the beach was magnificent and felt like we had it to ourselves.
A true, calm getaway on a beautiful island.

I stayed at Island Escape for 7 nights and this was THE BEST experience I have ever had on vacation! From the initial booking process to the time I arrived at the airport for my flight back to Bangkok, everything was perfect. I stayed in the one bedroom pool villa and the two bedroom ocean villa. Both rooms were absolutely stunning.
The one bedroom pool villa was a beautiful secluded space where one would feel at peace with the nature and surroundings. It was extremely spacious with amazing decor.
The two bedroom ocean villa was absolutely stunning. There was a common area that consisted of a seating area, kitchen, bbq, pool table and sun loungers. Both bedrooms were spacious, modern and comfortable. The pool ran between each of the rooms and offered a beautiful view of the ocean.
There was a wide range of activities to do each day such as aero boxing, stretching, beach run and paddle boarding. The staff were extremely friendly and supportive to ensure I felt welcome whilst doing the activities.
The highlight of Island Escape are the villa hosts. Khun Chen was absolutely fantastic and made my experience perfect. He was attentive to my needs and really went the extra mile to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Khun Chen took my breakfast order for each morning and it was brought to my villa at the time I specified. I ate both in the villa and at the restaurant where there is a variety of options, both western and Thai. Each dish was presented immaculately with an even better taste.
It was extremely easy to communicate with everyone at the hotel as my Thai is still not up to standard. Every staff member was polite and extremely cheerful.
I will 100% stay here again - I think I have found my favourite spot in Thailand!
Thank you so much to the team at Island Escape for allowing me to have the most amazing vacation!!

This hotel is very pretty and on a picturesque private island however it seems to be lacking basic amenities. Our luggage was delayed after a 24 hour journey and a call to the hotel told us that there is no shops on the island, not even a hotel gift shop selling basic toiletries or T-shirts. We had to stop on the way to the boat dock to get some basics but had to rush because the boat timings were very sporadic and if you miss one, you may have to wait another 3 hours until the next. This is something I feel the hotel could seriously improve, it’s only 15 minutes from the mainland but you feel slightly stuck there due to inconsistent and sporadic boat crossings.
The rooms were my least favourite part of my stay, they have a weird, modern yet budget feel about them and the bathroom isn’t a room, it’s within the main bedroom space. There’s a see through glass shower, a see through glass toilet and the sink is in the bedroom. The lack of privacy is quite unpleasant as no matter who you are with, I can’t imagine anyone wants to watch someone on the toilet.
The staff are so lovely & kind but feel slightly aimless and unsure and the management was non existent. We asked for two beds and were told the double bed could separate so when we arrived they said the housekeeper would come to do this, after 24 hours of travelling and no luggage we also requested robes for a change of clothes, after being promised this would happen in 15 minutes, an hour went by and still no housekeeper or robes, so we called reception again and the same promise was made. In the end we had to call 4 times and it took two hours for them to separate the beds and bring us both a robe. This was very frustrating and suggested that client experience wasn’t a priority
One thing that was exceptional was the chefs and the food, we didn’t have a bad meal at this location and the prices are fair (which is positive considering it’s hard to leave!!)
I feel the property and the staff have a lot of potential but it feels like a very new resort with very inexperienced staff and management and is missing out on many of the details that makes a hotel stay great.

I stayed at this resort from the 3rd of January through to the 8th of 2023.
I want to start of by saying the resort itself is gorgeous and that you can get around using the resort’s fleet of buggies.
I stayed in a three bedroom Villa which was stunning and had its own swimming pool. However, that’s where my positive comments end.
In my personal opinion the resort is still recovering from the the pandemic and either doesn’t have enough staff or enough adequately trained staff or possibly lacks a good management team.
My first issue was upon arrival our bags were left at the pier and didn’t travel with us to the resort upon arriving on Coconut Island. There is no real baggage system (I would have settled for a simple manual label attached so that concierge could have them send to my room) in place and it took forever for them to finally arrival and we had to wait in the reception area to claim them (again as there is no system to identify/label them and have them send directly to your room).
Upon arriving at reception we were offered no welcome drink and the staff were not engaging or particularly helpful.
During our stay it is impossible to get a hold of reception using the lovely iPads in the rooms as they are busy or take forever to respond.
Laundry we were told takes three days which again for a luxury resort is ridiculous. Our pool was not cleaned and we had to ring reception to get that done and again it was a laborious exercise. We also woke one day to find our pool had been drained of all water due to a ‘pump issue’ which is annoying when you pay for a Villa so that you can have your own room. In fairness to the resort we were offered a free lunch and bottles of wine as compensation.
There are numerous other issues that I could mention but I don’t want to sound too negative.
The positives are:
* The food is quite nice (as and when they have enough staff to serve it in a fashion)
* The main pool is lovely
* The views are great and the grounds of the resort are stunning
Whilst you are staying at the resort please be sure to visit Coconut Seafood restaurant which is on the Island for delicious food (annoyingly they only accept cash).

+1
Upon arrival at the hotel, I noticed that some guests had complained about the journey, but I didn’t find it to be an issue. It costs 100 Baht for the long-tail boat, and then the locals at the other end have tuk-tuks available for another 100 Baht, which can take up to four people to the hotel. The only inconvenience we encountered was that after 6 PM, there were no tuk-tuks available, so you need to arrange your return with the hotel service.
The hotel rooms are very spacious. We stayed in a family room, which was enormous, clean, and equipped with excellent air conditioning. The room even had two levels, which was a nice touch. The splash pool was fantastic and well-maintained, but they really need to add a bar in that area. I understand they might be understaffed, but it’s still something that needs to be addressed. Otherwise, you’ll have to walk 10 minutes to get a drink from the main pool. Management should resolve this issue as soon as possible.
During our two-week stay, the main pool was under maintenance for the first three days. After it reopened, the water remained green for several days due to ongoing filtration. It wasn’t very inviting, so we ended up spending our time at the splash pool—unfortunately, without any drinks.
The food quality was very good, but the menu was somewhat limited, and there were times when we weren’t allowed to order from the second menu, possibly due to staffing issues. Additionally, the pizza was only available for about three days during our stay.
Despite these minor issues, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the property is stunning, quiet, and peaceful. The pools were never crowded, and there were always sunbeds available. Overall, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, with just a few small areas for improvement.
I would also suggest implementing wristbands for all-inclusive guests, as we had to sign bills to our room even though we were on an all-inclusive package.

So points for the management if you’re reading
1 You definitely need to open the bar at the splash pool for drinks and towels
As it was open for the first two days while the main pool was closed so you do have
a bar there
2 make sure the menus are both available to order off not just the one as we were told that the management said just give one out on some days
3. Pizza are on the menu make them available.
4 implement wristband service for The all inclusive so you don’t have to keep signing for everything you have Very unproductive
Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed your hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a rest in the hotel Island Escape from 2 till 11 of April. In order to make the better service in your hotel we would like to give our review on this place. Five starts of this hotel can’t be seen in the service of it. Having a long trip to the hotel on the day of arrival, the manager won’t come to you with a fresh towel and with a glass of refreshing drink. If you want to go swimming in the sea, that’s not the place where you should stay. The boat to a place where there is a good beach costs 1000 batt, though if the hotel organizes a free boat to the beach, the amount of visitors will definitely increase as most people come to Thailand for enjoying amazing sea. Trips to the beaches of Phuket take a really long time: firstly you take a tricycle on a village road and then on uncomfortable boat, and then a taxi - that’s the way you should have to get to a worthy beach. There’s no lounge zone in the room of the hotel, where you can drink tea or coffee, it’s located near the wardrobe, what’s not so comfortable too, and there are no chairs or tables in the room, only on the terrace , which is not convenient in really hot weather. It’s not a good place for a kettle near silk dresses. The island in general is really dirty, there is a lot of rubbish and the territory of the hotel is not properly looked after. As for the boat, the Village Coconut has a 24 hour boat which takes you directly to the hotel , whereas our hotel provides visitors with a boat 5-6 times a day, so you can’t get to the hotel after 11 pm at all. A client service manager can improve the quality of services. Despite all these facts, we would like to pay attention to the great work of all the stuff. Everybody was polite, friendly and helped in all kinds of situations. Russian speaking manager Nikita helped us in all types of situations and was really careful about us. We hope that our review will be able to improve the quality of services provided by the hotel.

Dear I3158NO, Thank you for choosing Island Escape by Burasari for your stay in Phuket and thank you for sharing this review. We are saddened to hear that your stay was less than a memorable one. We have taken account all your constructive feedback and we sincerely apologieze for the lack of service. This is certainly not what we are known for and we are sorry to hear that you felt left out upon arrival. The management is aware of the challenge regarding the transportation between mainland and the island and rest assured that we are working on the issue. We are sorry to hear that the room set-up was not as comfortable for you as it should. We do have several types of rooms, suites, private villas at Island Escape and as you were our long stay guest - I am sure that our team would have been delighted to switch your room for a more comfortable one. Regarding the beach and the resort cleanliness, we have rectified this immediately. We appreciate your comment regarding our team and thank you for your compliment about Nikita. Again, thank you for staying with us and I hope that in your next visit to Phuket - our luxury resort on Coconut Island would be your first choice. Wishing you all the best, Sunny regards, Francia Andrimahenintsoa Martinez Customer Relations

I believe the first boat leaves from the Lagoon Pier at 10am. If you talk to the hotel they can arrange something earlier.
The treetops bar is closed.. and the other "bar" in the restaurant closes at 22.30 i think. Otherwise is nothing to do. I would recommend you to order a taxi to Coconut Seafood restaurant at the Island. Its not fancy, but the food is great and they have a bar with drinks and music (they are open until you go)
