Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good but doesn't deliver all it advertises. On Booking it says free airport shuttle but that's a lie. Another web site says there is both an indoor and outdoor pool...lovely pool but only outdoor. Good wizi in the lobby but did not work in my room (302). Some deferred maintenance...balcony railing was rotten, elevator flooring is worn through. But other wise a really good stay for three days. TV works fine...hot water....good AC...good maid service...massage place next door...staff is so gracious. Enjoy!

My husband & I absolutely love Baan Suwantawe. We originally booked for 7 nights but like the hotel & the area as there is just so much to do that we extended our stay for another 3 days.We certainly would recommend this place & would stay here again. The staff do absolutely everything to make you happy & comfortable, basically your wish is there command ! The location is great as it is right across the road from Limelight mall which has reasonable sized supermarket, food court pharmacy, massage place & many other stores.Naka weekend Market is also across the road. There is a nice park next door which is a short cut through to Thalang Rd & numerous restaurants are within walking distance. The staff are very helpful & the cleaning staff keep the place immaculately clean & are very friendly. We had a studio room with terrace overlooking the pool (42 sq M2 ) & had very reliable free wifi, flat screen TV,2 bedside tables & a telephone.Parking is available on site under the building. The king size bed is very firm, the bed linen is crisp white & 4 pillows are provided.A sink, kettle, water boiler & large sized fridge are in your spacious room & 2 bottles of water, tea & coffee are provided every day.A toaster was provided on request. The large white towels in the bathroom are lovely & thick but no flannels/face cloth is provided but this seems common in Thailand. The water pressure in the shower is brilliant & the bath has a handy shower hose attachment which is handy for washing your hair in the bath. There is plenty of wardrobe & cupboard space & toiletries are replaced every day.The room air conditioning is very good,a clothes drying rack /ladder is on the balcony. The pool is a very comfortable temperature & has 8 loungers with mattresses & umbrellas. This seems to be enough as not a lot of people seem to use the pool. There are net curtains as well as thick block out curtains so you can have a sleep in if you wish.Mini bar drinks are in the fridge & also available in the foyer & are at supermarket prices. There is also a small book borrowing section in the foyer. & unlike mnay other places the pool does not close until 9pm . Small Negatives The wooden chairs on the balcony are not comfortable but cushions were provided when requested Plates, cutlery, dishwash detergent, dishcloth & tea towel to use in the kitchenette were not in room on arrival but once again were quickly provided when requested The bath narrows at one end & I wished the bath went from one end of the wall to the other instead of having a tiled ledge at one end as the bath is too short in length for a Western woman of average height Unfortunately the air con is turned off in the entry area & foyer at 5.30pm so it is very hot when you come back after a day out. The freezer in the fridge isn't very cold & can't be adjusted so ice creams go soft in it

Have stayed here many times over the years. Still the same staff and very nice. But I think it’s time that some attention was paid to the place as it’s starting to look very tired. Especially the decking around the pool. Wonderful plants in the foyer which are desperate to be watered. But in saying that it’s very reasonably priced and well located.

Everything else is fine. Location is good. A convenient store is right across the street& close to Raya & other tourist attractions. However, i want to ask for some band aid cause I got hurt during the trip. The reception is like “ you can buy it from the convenient store. “ ummmm… not the Thai hospitality I was looking for. Other hotels I stayed at kor phi phi or patong don’t have this problem and give me band aid whenever I need it. Cause your open wound might get infected if you don’t have band aid to cover it.

This hotel is located right in Old Phuket Town. We stayed here to go to the Sunday night markets on a return trip from Koh Samui. The rooms were large and extremely well kept. There is a nice pool and a great coffee shop in the foyer. Just across the road from everything you want to eat and plenty of transport outside the front door. Priced to suit those on a budget. A great stay.

A nice hotel with a cute cafe at the entrance. Ideal for a short stay while exploring Phuket. We stayed in a studio terrace, which was spacious and clean. The terrace over looked the pool. The staff were welcoming. The hotel itself is five minutes from Phuket Town. Plenty of shops, and restaurants near by. I would highly recommend the weekend night market. Such a great buzz we lots of stalls.

The rooms are well laid out and nicely furnished. The setup, including a good-sized balcony with a view, is very practical for a family or a long stay. About a 4 minute walk to Old Town. Great restaurants and services are even closer yet its quiet at night. Best of the three hotels I stayed in while visiting Phuket Town.

We have stayed at Baan Suwantawe twice now while visiting Phuket. The staff is helpful & pleasant, the rooms are rather large with great balconies over looking the beautiful pool area. SomSak Cafe located on the lower level was a welcoming morning coffee spot to get each day going. We especially loved all of the amazing tropical plants!

Was traveling with my Thai Lady. The Hotel was fine. Asked them for a taxi to the Pier next morning for a ferry ride to Ko Phi Phi. Manager took care of it. DO NOT order any transportation, services, or locations to visit from them. Taxi to the ferry? 500 baht. But they don't tell you it's 500 baht EACH. The driver also set us up for boat transportation to and from Ko Phi Phi on the Ferry. We paid not quite double what you can buy for at the Pier. Owner and taxi driver working together for billing double the price of the going rate, and they collect payment up front. You know how that ends.

Good location, close to Sunday marked and Old town, small shopping mall on the other side of the street where you can find cheap food in the food market. Nice pool with afternoon, evening sun, breakfast coffee, tea toasted bread (limited), but included. You have an own small kithen in the room, with water cooker and microwave owen.
