Loved staying here and hopefully will be able to revisit sometime. Beautiful rooms and house; loved the sitting room with Port and its the extensive library, the knowledgeable hosts and of course the freshly backed bread in the morning! Only wished the fire was going in the evenings as it was a tiny bit chilly, but probably should have asked...

The NBCS is a well appointed B&B situated in easy proximity to the Port Arthur Historic Site, which is well worth a visit. The B&B was built by convicts, so it is a rare opportunity for Australians to stay in an authentically historic building. I would definitely stay there again.

Great room, wonderful breakfast, good value. Loved the sitting room with fire and port. We only stayed one night before doing the Three Capes Walk - a great location for this - but could easily have stayed longer as there is lots to do in the area.

This was the oldest B&B we stayed at and as the name suggests it was built by convicts in the early days of Tasmania. The wing we stayed in was built in the 1840's. it has been tastefully modernized within the walls and is a very comfortable accommodation. Our host Nathan was very knowledgeable of the immediate area and provided...

We stayed here the day before our three cape track walk and after we completed the walk. Out hosts went out of their way to make us welcome and explain the history of this unique property and its link with Port Arthur. Relaxing in the evening in front of the log fire talking to other guests was an enjoyable experience....

A real find. Quirky, steeped in history and a perfect place to stay if visiting Port Arthur. If its a modern hotel with all facilities you want - forget it. If you want to bask in history and step back in time and can handle a corridor walk to bathroom then go for it. Don't park in front of pier...

When we first arrived at the property (a little early and in the rain) we were a little concerned, but as soon as the door opened and we were welcomed inside all concerns fell away. Our kids loved that we were staying in the old store room, and explored all the history of the place. The room was clean and...

We stayed here this weekend for a concert at Port Arthur and we would echo everything already said in these excellent reviews. Lovely, clean and warm rooms. Generous lounge area which made chatting to other guests a very pleasant experience with the extra bonus of being able to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy by the fire. Lots of...

Great historic B&B overlooking Norfolk Bay, close to Port Arthur and lovely hosts with good local knowledge and great home made treats for breakfast. Rooms clean and tidy with period decor. Pity it was only an overnight stay.

An excellent place to stay when visiting Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck. NBCS is a boutique B&B that has preserved some of the history of the building and location. The rooms were well appointed. It was peaceful and, although near the main road, I could not hear any traffic. Lynton and Lowella went out of their way to book dinner...
