Family run hotel at Changdi inn. Everything runs smoothly from arrival to departure. Stephen was waiting for me at the bus stop . Rooms are clean and all you need is there. Dinner or lunch , the food is delicious, even the coffee is freshly brewed. For me it was a pleasure to stay among a Chinese family, grandma to...

We booked the room with an attached bathroom. The room is clean, reasonable-size with basic amenities. Just a note that the flushing system and water drainage for the shower may be slightly slow. As the whole place has wooden floorings and steps, you can hear others walking outside the room. The hotel is located in the Fuijian Cultural Village where...

Great value for money, perfectly located: Stephen the manager is a good communicator and an efficient organiser. The place is home to a large family and is one of the most famous Tulous in the village, so it is also part of the tourist route, which adds to the chaos. Rooms are clean, beds are hard, bathrooms are basic, but...

Absolutely loved it. Stephen is an amazing host and did so much to make sure we had a fantastic time. It's an incredible experience to stay the night in a tulou in such a wonderfully old and charming village. A very unique and unforgettable experience. The food was excellent and the shower lovely and hot.

This is a family run buisness, and the gentleman who represents the family is charming and friendly. The building is SPECTACULAR ... amazing actually, and very happy I stayed here. The food is good but like all fod in the village, overpriced. Only downside was that our en-suite bathroom had a glass wall which stopped about 50cm below the ceiling,...

We had a wonderful time staying here; a very special place. The inn is a charming old building, built from wood, with central courtyard for drinks and meals. It is situated next to a river in a designated sight of scenery so very peaceful. The food was delicious (cooked by Stephen's mother) and we loved feeling part of the family...

Excellent location, beautiful setting----difficult to find a better place to visit the tulou country. Owner Stephen speaks English well and makes efforts to make guests feel welcome. Facilities are basic but great value for money. Home-cooked food are delicious and reasonably priced. Even though this is a lived-in inn, efforts should be made to tidy things up a bit--especially the...

We stayed with Stephen and his family in this amazing location in August 2016. We could not believe the sense of history in the building, it was like stepping back 200 years in to Chinese history. From the start Stephen was very helpful, he organised a car to collect us from Xiamen and bring us up to Yongding. He talked...

OK room in a beautiful building. Also the location of the village is very convenient to visit the tulou region. Easy to get a car for the day from the owner (300 RMB for the full day). Food just OK. Nothing exceptional at all. The big problem was thee DIRT in our room: several centimeters of dust around the bed...

This place is amazing. It is in a location that seems to come straight out of a high-budget kung fu movie. (people were filming a commercial there briefly during my stay.) Steven--as well as everyone in the "neighborhood"--is super nice and makes you feel at home. AND they have an adorable dog.
