My husband and I are staying in this beautiful boutique hotel for a week. Set in the picturesque and restful village of St Félix-Lauragis (45 minutes drive from Toulouse), this hotel is the perfect place to stay. We are enjoying the wonderful and varied continental breakfasts, which so far have included cereals, nuts, local goat's and cow's milk yoghurts, multiple...

This small hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We booked it last minute as we needed a stopover while on our way to Toulouse. We had room 10, a suite with a private patio where you could sit and enjoy the lovely views across the countryside. The room itself was spacious with a large bathroom, good shower and separate toilet....

The auberge is on the outskirts of St Felix village, which still has some of the ramparts left. Rooms at the back look out over the country with fields and trees. In summer, swifts and martins fly above and below you. Madame Tafarello is quite shy, but professional and we always have a nice reception when we arrive. There's a...

Very close to achieving VG status. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Soaps and Shampoos could use upgrading. Check-In process is seamless. Wi-Fi is spotty. Air Conditioning is barely adequate for late Spring day. Not sure about height of summer. Fresh fruit and cookie basket awaits you in your room.

Ate dinner here in June 2013, while on holiday in the area. Although we knew it no longer had a star we still had relatively high hopes. The setting is lovely, and the view from our table beautiful. The service was patchy. Although I try, I hold my hand up to not having the best grasp of conversational french, and...

I don't know whether this should be a hotel review or a restaurant one ideally both. I last stayed here nine years ago and was not overly impressed. At the time it had a Michelin star for food. My wife and I wondered if it deserved the star. It lost it! Now however all is changed. The rooms are better...

Downside was very few other guests staying or dining which slightly spoilt the atmosphere. Upside was friendly staff, excellent service, relatively simply but very good food ( we were on a dinner B & B rate so did not try the a la carte menu), nice bedroom with ensuite and all in a pretty village near Albi and Carcassonne.

We were looking for a hotel near Carcassonne for a short break. We found this in an old Michelin guide and booked for 3 nights. It is small, just 15 rooms, but friendly and comfortable. We had room 15 which was small, with an equally compact bathroom, but contained everything we needed including good toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. It didn't...

We were staying on a half board basis so had a dinner menu without choice for the five nights we stayed. Well cooked, beuatifully presented - good service. Only downside was that the wine list lacked a simple cuveee maison - aperitifs also a bit pricey. Great views from our room but lack of storage space for clothes - only...

Looking for a nice hotel not far from Carcassonne for a short stay at start of holiday. The auberge is small and friendly and in a lovely setting. The rooms are newly decorated, comfortable and well equipped and the lounge / bar area is pleasant. The real discovery, however was the award-winning restaurant, where they serve serious food at serious prices....
