La Vayssade Having visited Cahors in the South of France once before & having seen how pretty and quaint the region was, we requested our hosts in France to get us a Bed and Breakfast type resort / home stay around Cahors. That’s how they through a completely blind search on the net booked us at La Vassayde. Vassayde offered... More

The prior reviews are emphatically right: Hélène & Emmanuel are wonderful hosts. They join you at dinners for the tables d'hotes, which have especially interesting conversations from guests from many countries. Emmanuel gave us superb recommendations every day we were there. Go!

We stayed two nights and had one meal at La Vayssade, and were genuinely impressed by the attention to detail and efforts made by Helène and Emmanuel in managing a beautiful B&B. The space – a restored barn – is simply stunning, and our room was very comfortable. The dinner prepared by our hosts was excellent, and we enjoyed lively... More

Big ovation for Chambres d' Hotes La Vayssade. Hélène & Emmanuel are perfect and charming hosts. Also the overall setting, the architecture of the main building and the rooms as such have made the stay worthwhile repeating. Congratulations!

This was a stunning renovated barn with original open beams and very well outfitted. It is a family operation and the younger couple took care of things for dinner and the afternoon, while the parents dealt with breakfast. There are large grounds, a swimming pool, and they brought out welcome drinks of flavoured syrups with water. It was not possible... More

This chambre d'hôte is very well-appointed. It is tastefully restored and decorated throughout, and our room had a very comfortable bed, quality bedding, modern shower with separate toilet, and a comfortable sofa. The garden and pool area is very attractive, set amidst the extensive grounds of the complex. Helene and Emmanuel welcomed us and were very friendly, but their parents... More

We loved everything about our stay - amazing, family-style meals; beautiful renovated farmhouses to stay in, full of original features; and a gorgeous setting in the countryside where you can try fruit straight from the family's fruit trees. The hosts were great, with loads of insider's tips for sights/restaurants in the area, and some of our nicest memories were sitting... More

We enjoyed a mid-week stay for our 20th wedding anniversary at the Chambres d'Hôtes la Vayssade just south of Cahors in the Lot region of France. The owners make you feel at home with their friendly welcome. The old stone barn with five rooms for rent has been completely and authentically renovated. Everything is clean and geared to the comfort... More

We spent 3 nights at La Vayssade in july 2012. We had the Buis room and our 2 children (12 and 15) were in the Lilas. Both rooms were comfortable, well decorated and the bathrooms were exceptionnal! The place is quiet and relaxing. Joëlle and Pierre made us feel welcome. The dinners there are memorable. Pierre's cooking is superb! You'll... More
