Picked this inn for our overnight stay, as we were having a track day at Blyton race track. What a gem of a find! Evening meal was well cooked, good sized portion and very affordable. A great range of beers, wines etc to suit every pallet and again, at good prices! The accommodation is a row of terraced rooms adjacent,...

It was a wet rainy Monday and myself and husband had been driving from Nottingham and wanted a break. The pub I suggested in Scotter was shut so we called in the Blackhorse Blyton as it was open. What a very fortunate decision. It was just 12 o'clock but already it was buzzing. Staff were friendly and helpful when I...

Booked a room as part of a weekend away playing darts and visiting family. Arrived early morning and were allowed to check in before we went off to a darts tournament for the day. Lovely large room with sofa, and dining table and lovely clean bathroom. Very good pub grub for dinner and reasonably priced. Would thoroughly recommend for a...

We had room 1, the wetroom is amazing. Beds are very comfy. Tea/coffee making. Tv and wifi. Great food. Very friendly staff, and spent the evening in the bar. Hope they oil that kitchen door ...that squeak was very very very annoying. Great place to stay if going to Blyton circuit. Go across the road to get homemade ice-cream.

Positive first. The good was gorgeous and very well priced for a traditional pub. The lunch menu special offer was great value for money. Negative second. The service from the lady taking our order wasn't brilliant. Firstly she walked passed us a few times before deciding to clean the blackboard before coming to us. We must have sat there fur...

We travel a lot, hotels here there and everywhere ... The sterile transient life so when we were recommended to try this place we did. It is a fantastic place, a village pub location with easy access to many lovely locations for visits. Perfect detached accommodation and the greatest welcome from staff and locals alike. The food is great British...

Have visited 2/3 times a month for the past few months, specials board always seems to be a winner, excellent food, generous portion sizes, very good value for money. Service can be a little slow if it's busy, but never cause to complain. The new slimming Wednesday's menu is a fab idea, good to have proper healthy options available.

We were looking for a roughly half-way stop between home and the Channel Tunnel. The area around Gainsborough was around that point. After looking at a few reviews and google maps...decided on here! A factor was also 'that' bad review and the way the landlady dealt with it! Great accommodation, food in the Pub is excellent value. A few beers,...

Room was very suitable, spacious and with all the required facilities. There are six rooms all in a row which are quite separate from the hotel/pub/restaurant. Very good parking near to the rooms. Catering at the restaurant was excellent. Carry outs in rooms are not allowed.
