A friend, who is a local, booked us into this delightful hotel. I can see why he uses it so much. Where to begin ... The hotel manager is perhaps the best I have ever encountered, and that is reflected throughout the whole experience with the hotel. She is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, unflappable, and nothing seemed to be too much...

Stopped here back in May whilst on business. Friendly and helpful staff with clean and tidy rooms. Good choice of real ales in bottles at the bar which was a nice touch. For evening meal I was impressed with the food which was beautifully presented and came from an imaginative menu, a refreshing change from the standard fayre served up...

With the popularity of craft ales/real ales we do our best to offer an interesting and concise range. The chef/owner goes to great lengths to offer tempting and creative dishes. Thank you for acknowledging and appreciating our efforts.

This is a small hotel in a delightful building, an old school. The owners could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. When we got back on the Sunday evening they laid on a cold supper for six at short notice. It was excellent. The rooms are everything you could wish for, also...

From a warm and friendly check-in to a superb breakfast this was a delightful stay. Our room had all of facilities you need. Peace and quiet and views through the trees. Not like being in town at all. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot. Choccy bars rather than dull biscuits in shiny plastic was a...

This is a charming hotel with character, what makes the hotel special is the commitment from its hard working owners to provide and excellent service. The food is wonderful as with the passion to create it. I am the first to criticise when service is bad but through having a strong background in this industry I recognise hard work, effort...

I was very pleasantly supprised with the hotel, the staff and exspecially the food. With my various fussy food intollerances I found it very easy to choose from the menu and the standard of preperation and cooking was extremely high. Very comfy night in the recommended music room, with large bed, walk in shower room and seperate WC. The hotel...

We arrived at the hickman hill on a lovely sunny afternoon and parked by the lovely gardens. Michelle the owner greeted us as we walked into the hotel. The best welcome we have ever had. After our last experience in Skipton this was great for us. We had come to Gainsborough for a leisure weekend. Michelle gave us lots of...

A Charming hotel offering a warm welcome, lovely food and a comfy bed! I would like to return in the Summer to take advantage of the beautiful gardens. The hotel is also a short walk into the town centre so it ticks all the boxes and stands head and shoulders above the competition.

Thank you for the great review. When possible we spend time in the garden trying to keep it colourful. This years tulips are probably the best display we have ever had. Even the cold weather is prolonging their flowering. We look forward to welcoming you back later in the year.
