Very nice, very friendly and very comfortable together with a really good English breakfast in the morning, could not ask for more, this is one place you will not regret booking. The owners are very customer aware and could not be more accommodating. Also free Wifi and parking

We've just stayed at the Black Swan for the third time, after a two year gap. Our stay was equally as good as previous visits. The proprietors are very friendly and welcoming and it feels almost like home. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with tv, wifi and kettle etc for hot drinks. The breakfast is freshly cooked exactly to...

A group of us stayed at the Black Swan Guest House due to a nearby friends wedding and what an excellent B and B it turned out to be. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast amazing and what can there be to dislike about staying in a former coaching inn - definitely go for the "four poster"...

Thank you very much for your lovely comments - it was a pleasure to "look after" such friendly, happy guests. It is also nice when people appreciate our wonderful old property.

Myself, sister and 92yr old mum booked for 1 night, spotlessly clean rooms and spotlessly clean bed linen. We stayed in the annexe, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen and although we didn't use the kitchen there appeared to be everything you could possibly need. Graham was on his own as his parents were away, breakfast was made to order and...

I stayed here over night before an interview the following day and it was the perfect place to relax. The breakfast was great and set me up well for the day ahead. The two owners were exceptionally pleasant, genuinely lovely people. Would recommend if in the area

We booked a family room which turned out to be what I can only describe as a holiday cottage, my sons aged 9 and 6 had their own twin bedded room, we had our own double room and a well equips kitchenette and bathroom. The decor wasn't modern but this made no difference as it was clean and very spacious....

We arrived on January 15th, 2017 and were greeting by the very friendly proprietors. We arrived earlier than anticipated and they were ready for us with bright smiles. Extremely clean, beds, towels, environment. Breakfast was wonderful and made to order. I requested something that they didn't have and told them I would bring it with me but the very next...

Clean, tidy, clean towels, all hot drinks. Everything you would need. They were very helpful with info about the area. Breakfast was good: choice of breakfast. Fruit, cereal, jams, kippers, local Lincolnshire sausage with big breakfast. It was cheaper when we booked with them. And we will be staying there again.

Exceptionally helpful owners. A wonderful, personal cooked breakfast, individually ordered. I cannot say any better. A Trent River, 2.5 mile walk, past the old Trent Port (Roman) & the crossing used by King Harold in his way to Hastings is a few hundred yards away. Just ask. The heater in the bathroom was especially appreciated. I now understand and agree...

My wife and I stayed just one night on a flying visit to Gainsborough, very warm welcome and the room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was super with a great choice, just enough to set you up for a busy day. Highly recommended.

Thank Gerry C
