In June, after many weeks in lockdown, we were finally able to travel again. We wanted a break immersed in nature and our time at The Hideaway proved to be the perfect solution.
We were enchanted by the location of this pretty property, set in gorgeous countryside and green lawns, completely secluded and yet only a short distance from the lovely old town of Amandola.

Our apartment was perfect, cozy, comfortable, beautifully appointed, extremely well equipped, and thoughtfully prepared. Modern facilities blend well with the original features of terra cotta tiles and exposed wooden beams. To our surprise we found a kindly prepared breakfast welcome pack, including freshly baked bread, homemade jams and eggs from the Hideaway hens!

Our apartment had a nice little private terrace for al fresco dining. There is a large covered patio, comfortable seating dotted around the sloping lawns, and a great above ground pool for the use of guests. There is even a lovely woodland walk just below the property.

Sarah and Mark, who live at the property, greeted us as warmly as old friends,so we felt completely at home.
They are the perfect discreet hosts, a delightful couple who have really given careful thought to the comfort of their guests. They are a mine of information about the area and can advise on the best walks, the nicest restaurants and the nearest beaches.

We cannot recommend this little rural retreat highly enough.

This is such a precious place I discovered by instinct. It is guarded by wonderful Marc and Sarah, which truly are some kind and generous souls. Wherever you lay your eyes to rest there are little details to discover, a fairy house by the old oak tree, an owl in the flower pot on the little terrace in front of the chalet where I stayed. It really feels like stepping into middle earth. All the cozy chalets have their own lounge terrace and open up to the huge garden, where you have this amazing view over the sweet hills of the Marches. If you want to get to explore the Marches this is the perfect place to be. Mark and Sarah are very helpful, if you have any question and they take such good care of this nature power place. The decoration of the Chalet is tasteful in warm colours, everything is new and spotless clean. You even have a great espresso machine and you get every morning your breakfast served on your own terrace, or if you want you can eat it in the wooden gazebo Mark built himself, as all the fairy houses spread around. Be prepared to step into some serious childlike fun <3

This place is beyond wonderful. We stayed at the 2-bedroom apartment with a terrace and a porch (valley view apartment). Very well equipped, nicely decorated with everything you need (really!), including a washing machine you can use (1 time included during your stay and for all the other times at very reasonble fee). The place is clean, quiet and beautifully set in the nature. Ask Mark for his homemade bread. It’s absolutely delish! Mark and Sarah are very nice, easy going and fun to talk to (in English and Italian). So, book this place. You will not regret it! Have a wonderful hike in the nature, visit historic cities closeby (and a little further away), relax on a lounger in the garden or simply practise the wellknown dolce far niente.
We will definately come back as this place was the highlight of our vacation!

What a wonderful place! It is just like coming home in a nice and cosy place. Sarah and Mark are very lovely people and make you directly feel at home. The apartment is beautiful. It gives you the feeling of the Italian country live. Everything you need is there. In the kitchen, livingroom and bathroom you can find everything you probably need. The garden is beautiful with a lot of places where you can sit. The swimmingpool is big and very nice to do a cooling down after a wonderful hike in the area. The area is beautiful and there is a lot to do. Sarah and Mark made a brown book with al their experiences in the area. Very handy. When you want to tast a little bit of the Italian Agriturismo ambience, in a beautiful place, in the middle of nature, with the most lovely hosts....choose the Hideaway!

We stayed for 6 days in the well equipped appartment "Garden View". Beautiful and very quiet surroundings, good for just doiing nothing, drinking coffe in Amandola or just going to the Grande Piano..
Very enthousiastic hosts, who will give you all the necessary information (besides the bread and cupcakes!)

We have just spent the most relaxing week staying at Il Nascondiglio. Sarah and Mark are THE perfect hosts and cannot do enough to help. The appartment was spotlessly clean and sanitized, there was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us, including home made bread and cakes. Everything you could possibly need is there in the appartment, and the attention to detail is second to none. The setting is idyllic - the only noise we heard in the manicured garden was bird song. Sarah and Mark are always on hand to help with anything you need to know, they have a wealth of knowledge about the local area, and are happy to suggest things to do if you can tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the garden. There are ample sun loungers, tables and chairs, and lovely areas to sit in. You are spoilt for choice. We cannot wait to go back again. It really was perfect in every way.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hideaway earlier this month to attend a Memorial Even being held in Servigliano. Our accommodations were very comfortable in the beautiful mountains in Amandola. Best of all, Sarah and Mark were the best and most responsive hosts I have experienced on a trip. They took care of us like family!!! HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous hideaway.

This wasn't our first visit to Il Nascondiglio and it certainly won't be the last. If you want peace and quiet and to be immersed in nature, then you will love it here. The appartment was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and a lovely welcome pack was provided including wine, and homemade jam and cakes. Sarah and Mark are the perfect hosts and will do everything in their power to make your stay perfect. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Until next time......

I'm sure there are lots of lovely places to stay in Italy, but the difference here is the hosts! Mark and Sarah have a ton of experience in hospitality and it really shows. From the initial communications to when we (didn't want to) leave, everything was perfect. We especially appreciated the welcome basket full of homemade/local products. This was not the first time we've stayed with these guys, and it won't be the last. Thank you, Mark and Sarah!

We stayed for 10 days during July and were amazed by the beautiful surroundings and very cozy apartment.
Sarah and Mark made us feel very welcome and were formidable hosts. They gave us great tips about the surrounding area and events to visit, as well as helping with bookings for restaurants.
We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely miss breakfast on the terrace and drinking wine whilst looking at the sunset on the valley
