Great value all around and exceeding expectations so far.

We are a British couple both 30 years old. To begin with we had a call from Jet2, the day before we had a 6AM flight saying there had been an illness in the hotel. Jet2 didn’t give anymore information which caused a huge amount of stress less than 12 hours before we were due to wake up.

We called the hotel direct and they said this is a small and isolated incident with only 3 out of 600 rooms impacted so we breathed a sigh of relief and cracked on with our holiday. There was no sign or issue with this when we arrived.

Our transfer dropped us off 50m from the hotel which at first felt much further as we had our cases but it honestly wasn’t a problem.

The receptionists were knowledgable, helpful and really nice.

We booked an all-inclusive premium room which was definitely worth the extra. This gave you access to the adult bar and drinks on the rooftop and the all inclusive restaurant.

A few points on facilities, there was no fridge in the room but you could get one for €25 for the week which was reasonable but we managed without. We only needed cold water but could get this in the hotel vending machine or fill our bottles up in the restaurant. There was no ironing board and iron but we hired a handheld steamer for €10 deposit only which did the trick. The room and hotel was very clean and fresh.

The air conditioning worked really well. It only works when your patio door is fully closed as the circuit is connected. This makes sense to save energy! People complaining in other reviews about the air conditioning simply didn’t know how it worked!

The restaurant, given it was a buffet style was actually better than expected. There were fewer trays and items which you sometimes see in larger hotels but instead the quality was much higher and the food was replaced much quicker and was hotter. We did tend to eat at the start when the restaurant opened so I’d recommend doing the same to get the best experience.

The rooftop sunset bar was brilliant and the free cocktails were fresh and went down nicely! They also played good music up there.

The pool does ask for a €1 deposit for glasses at first so if you haven’t withdrawn your cash yet (we used Revolut card so didn’t) it could be slightly annoying. But it was all good in the end.

Overall this is a brilliant place and good value for money. If you are the type of person who looks for faults, flaws and expects perfection then you’re going to have a negative experience. For what you pay and the options provided I can honestly say it’s worth the money.

Come with a positive and open mind and you’ll enjoy everything this hotel and Ibiza has to offer!

The nightclubs are obviously all closed and you need to wear masks in the hotel and public transport but let’s be honest, it is a small price to pay for that summer holiday we have all waited so long for!

We have been on a number of family holidays to the Bergantin over the years and as the teenagers turn to adults we are all still very happy to return. It was great to see a refresh of the rooms and communal areas (though the rooms need some drawers) and an added advantage of Premium meant we could enjoy the sunset terrace which was a great way to start the evenings. The staff do an amazing job in incredibly difficult circumstances this Covid year and a special mention to Juan on reception, thanks as always Juan. The food is always fresh, especially the salads and I even found some HP sauce for the morning sausages. This year the adult pool bar was not available but the bar staff at the main pool continue to be bright and cheery and pretty speedy too. Always a pleasure, we will be back.

This hotel is situated in a great location if you want to stay on the outskirts of all the night life that Ibiza is well known for.
It’s only a 10 minute walk into San Antonio Bay where all the clubs are .
The hotel itself is nice and the staff are very helpful, example: we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work when we arrived and I went to reception and we had a technician there within 5 minutes who sorted it out .
The sleeping area had clearly been updated yet the bathroom was a bit dated but was still clean and ideal for what we needed to do in there .
Food :
This is the first all inclusive holiday I have been to and there’s was English sausages for breakfast not them silly frankfurters ( well done ) .
My sonhas cyliac and the chef he spoke to was very helpful every time we used the restaurant.
There was a good variety of food dessert was good yet the cakes did run out pretty quickly but was always topped up quickly.
The pool area was always clean and tidy , yet if using the pool cafe make sure that you don’t leave your food unattended as the seagulls are ready to swoop down and help you out finishing off your food lol .
Definitely stay here again

having booked two rooms for 4 adults, we needed to add another adult. Jet 2 couldnt do it so we had to deal with the hotel direct. although the rooms catred for 4 people we w were told we would have to upgrade to a suite for 1,370 euros. when we arrived the normal room had a sofa bed suitable for 2 and the suite had a campbed that an adult did not fit on. When confronted the said it was because the rooms didnt cater for 3 adults yet they were able to allow it for 1370 arguing that the room with sofa bed was much more suitable they would not budge even though my daughters feet hung over the end of the camp bed. when entering restaurant no one was urged to sanitise and the variey of food was minimal and all tasted the same with a la carte servings (small) if they are charging for a 5 star hotel then it should be i have been to better 3`*

We stayed here after lockdown for a 4 day break in the sun, we are a family of 5 and had 2 rooms (premium). Our rooms were 3 rooms apart the hotel said it wasn’t possible for them to be next to each other which wasn’t ideal. Our rooms were on level 4 and faced the sea, the rooms were terrible and in need of an update. The beds were very uncomfortable with a very thin sheet which was awful especially when you got cold through the night, my oldest daughter was on a sofa bed, not even a single bed! No drawers to put any belongings just an open wardrobe. The bathroom smelt awful and the vent in the wall looked through to the next room and you could hear everything when in the bathroom!!

Out of the 4 nights we were there we were kept awake for 3 nights with people coming in at 1/2am shouting, singing, slamming doors, playing music, moving furniture about and fighting, I would dread to think what it’s like when the resort is busy!

The food was the worst we have had in a hotel, we ate breakfast one morning and didn’t eat in after that, social distancing means you can’t go up to the buffet and choose your own food someone will do that for you but if you want toast with your breakfast you have to stand in one queue and then stand in another for your butter and then another for drinks by the time you sit down your food is cold.

The pool is ok and has a snack bar one of the chefs looked annoyed people were there and had attitude with a lot of people! There was a small kids pool with a baby slide. The sunset terrace was lovely for a drink, but that was the only thing that was nice! The location was great bars, restaurants, shops and beach across the road, but this hotel will not be one I would recommended no matter how good of a deal you can get!

Recently returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay at the bergantin this is the 2nd and last time I will stay in an azuline hotel. 3 days in I was woken by banging when I went to the bathroom and I could hear the people next door in the bathroom using the toilet an shower. There was a service vent in the bathroom where u could see into the room next door. Every morning we were woken by people running an talking on the corridors and cleaners pulling their trolleys ,the walls must be made of paper. The cleaners didn’t change the bedding on my wives bed for 5 days , I know because the same stains were on every time we got back to the room. The bathrooms are dated and the shower was useless , it was turned to cold and very hot water kept coming out (very bad for children)
There was no fridge in the room although there was a space for 1 but u had to rent it for 50 euro.
booking.com advertised the premium room with all nice photos room 302 was quite the opposite. We went for breakfast , lunch and evening meal On the first day and the food was terrible , the only positives from this hotel were the location and the pool areas The adult pool was perfect although there was no bar area open.
I’ve stayed in at least 6 hotels in San Antonio this is by far the worst room I’ve stopped in.

I was concerned before arriving. We arrived a few days before the thunder storms and mad rain. Reception were friendly and efficient. Premium rooms lovely and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Hotel is kept clean along with both pool areas. The adult pool and gym were closed for a couple of days due to flooding in the storms but soon cleaned up and open.

The bar by the adult pool was closed that was down to island Covid rules, nothing can be done about that.

Although we were all Inc. we didn't really eat in the hotel. Breakfast was fine, had better but for the price we paid there was plenty. Bar snacks were good but always said to cook my snacks abit longer as they were quite often under cooked. The euro for a glass at the bar is a great idea, stops people leaving them behind, floating around the pool or using them as an ashtray.

Drinks at the bar were good and the roof terrace was lovely. I do think they should have some rules up there and make it more exclusive as its quite a unique feature and is ruined by certain aspects.

Location is perfect.

Sad to see so many bars, restaurants and hotels closed. Some hadn't opened all season.

Under the circumstances I dont know what the hotel could really do more, having to run a hotel with Spanish Covid rules and uncertainty of holidaymakers coming out I was pleasantly surprised and would stay there again.

Had a great holiday in a good hotel.

This wasn't the holiday we'd planned so we didn't really know what to expect. Generally the hotel was ok. Pleasant staff doing their best in strange times.
We asked for use of the in room safe 3€ per day. Kettle was free (10€ deposit) and also requested a fridge which cost us 50€ for the duration of our stay (2 weeks).
Hotel was quiet in terms of the number of guests but there were a few younger 'party' people who were noisy and the soundproofing in the rooms wasn't great. Not much fun listening to someone next door throwing up at 4am.
Rooms are basic but clean. No doors on the wardrobe and no drawer storage at all. Small balcony with two chairs but no table.
Not being able to serve yourself in the restaurant was difficult for both staff and customers but this changed to self service in our 2nd week and it made eating there much better.
Adults only pool would have been lovely but it had been taken over by a group of young people who played their own very loud music and talked a lot about all the drugs they'd brought (and used). As no staff ever came near this pool their behaviour went unchecked (even after we raised the issue with reception) so we ended up using the main pool most of the time.
We wouldn't return but this has more to do with the resort and the type of holiday makers/party people it attracts (not a judgement, just an opinion) rather than the hotel itself.

Hotel bergantin is a lovely hotel where the cleaners are brilliant constantly cleaning to ensure it’s all clean. The rooms are very basic with no fridge and the air con doesn’t always work however they are clean and do the job. The double rooms beds are two singles pushed together so it could be better if it was a double bed.

The food was nice, basic choice but always lots of Salad, fruit and little bits and the quality of food was good.

The staff here are so lovely I couldn’t fault any of them.

The hotel is in a great location with it being about a 20/ 30 min walk away from San Antonio where all the bars and shops are. There are a few bars and shops around the hotel itself in the bay and a lovely lounge just down the road where they show football. Alternatively you could get a taxi to San Antonio which will cost you about 7€ even at 3 in the morning.

Overall the hotel is lovely and we will be returning in the future.

I would not book with this company because they are not cancellation free despite stating they are. I have emailed numerous times since 25th March 2020 and have still not received a refund. The refund due is a quick and simple administrative request but the company are using the closure of their hotels as an excuse not to refund money due. I would recommend only booking with hotel groups that do not ask for any money upfront, even when they guarantee to refund if you cancel in advance of the booking date.
