This was a super hotel to stay at. The rooms are large and spacious, with a good sized bathroom. We slept very well as the location, whilst just off a main road was very quiet and tranquil. The host was incredibly thoughtful, booking us into a local restaurant for a meal. Breakfast at the hotel was. Dry good, we would stay again.

This small country hotel provided us with 3 idyllic nights B&B, solitude and very friendly service. It made our Normandy mini break. Danni the proprietor speaks excellent English and could not do more to make us feel at home. Her recommendations for places to visit and restaurants were spot on. Our room was very comfortable and provided great VFM. The free wifi was excellent as were the fullsome and wide ranging breakfasts. Whether en route to and from the Cherbourg ferry or for a mini break this delightful little place is the perfect stopover. Parking is on site and free and it's very easy to find. Le Pieux the nearby town will also provide you with anything you need. A variety of Small independent shops line the Main Street and a large supermarket on the outskirts complete the retail therapy opportunities.…

The hotel was welcoming, rooms clean and well serviced. Very good Wifi and able to get BBC in the TV to keep up with the news (although why, when you are on holiday?) Breakfast Ok and good selection of cold meat and cheese. Beds very comfortable. Chateau nereby is empty and only open briefly for small exhibitions . It is owned by the community and hopefully they will do something with it one day. Lots of coastal places worth visiting from here including Diliette, Siouxville and beaches along the coast.

Set in a quiet garden, this hotel had extremely comfortable beds, and the nights were very quiet. Just down the way is an excellent seafood restaurant, Le Semaphore. Excellent location for exploring or on your way to the Cherbourg ferry.

We stayed here again for three nights in August, having previously stayed in 2010. The hotel has ample parking, wi-fi, comfortable beds and helpful, friendly staff. Mme Morel the owner/proprietor helpfully suggested good local restaurants (try La Phare at Dielette-excellent). The breakfasts at Bel Air provide an extensive choice of local produce and breads. There is an interesting weekly market at nearby Les Pieux, and a choice of unspoilt nearby beaches. A return visit is guaranteed!

We stayed here for 3 nights in May. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The Hotel is set just outside the town of Flamanville, near to the Chateau. The rooms are to the back of the main house where the owners live. Built in a converted barn, they are of excellent quality. Clean and well decorated, with tv, wifi, and a very comfortable bed! The Hotel serves a continental breakfast, with the choice of so many things from several fresh breads and croissants to cereal, yogurts (including their home made natural yogurt), local ham and cheese. The preserves are home made and apple juice and honey from the local area. There are restaurants near by (2km), which serve a range of cuisines, the Hotel does not serve evening meals. The staff were kind enough to phone the restaurants to book tables for us. The hotel is ideally situated to visit the attractions that This part of Normandy offers, as well as being close to some fabulous beaches.…

Had two days here in June. we were offered a choice of rooms. Our room was clean tidy well designed and had everything we needed. Including a fridge to keep our wine cool. The rooms consist of a converted barn complex connected to the owners house and the breakfast rooms. A nice owner receptionist, able to speak English. She gave us a tour around the lovely gardens. A good standard breakfast, the usual baguette, croissants etc, as much as you could want and without 'portion control'. Famanville is an excellent location to tour and use the wonderful beaches. Do not be put off by the nuclear power station on the coast, the beaches and holiday villages are superb, clean tacky tourist free, a lesson to Devon and Cornwall. The infrastructure is excellent. As the Hotel does not have a restaurant the owner recommended a few. We loved 'The Semaphore' about 1 km away but set in an old coastguards lookout. Fabulous views over the Channel Islands and coast and to watch the sunset. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. We had both the 28 Euro and the 20 Euro menu. The quality of both excellent and some of the best food we had on our holiday. Highly recommended.…

We only spent one night here, because our first choice of hotel was full. But what a gem! We were made most welcome from the minute we walked in the door and were given lots of advice on places to eat (the hotel does not have a restaurant); there being about a dozen within ten minutes drive. We ate at Le Semaphore and loved it. As a converted Manoir it is beautifully appointed and laid out with a sun-trap courtyard for breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Although so peaceful, it is minutes from the coast, a few miles from Cherbourg and has walking country all around. We will certainly be back.

We returned home a couple of weeks ago from Normandy- a short break of four nights-at the Hotel Bel-Air Flammanville-what a super small family run hotel-very peaceful-no traffic sound-good breakfasts-and a warm welcome from Mme Morel and her staff. This hotel is just 21k from Cherbourg-very well situated for exploriing countryside and the coast. We live in the heart of the Welsh countryside-so wanted an equally quiet place to stay and we found it!!!
