Caravan was ok, expensive for the quality compared to other parks and quite run down for a “premium” price. We were meant to have TV in every room but we didn’t, no side lights next to beds, disgusting kettle!
I agree with previous reviews that some closures seem to be using covid as excuse. For example the pedalos would take seconds to clean between uses and as they say cleaning is happening between pool sessions I don’t see why the change rooms couldn’t just be used and cleaned also. The system for booking swimming causes an indoor mass of people... defeating the object somewhat so that needs serious attention!
The biggest let down was the unfriendliness of the staff, Ann on reception was rude and unwelcoming. One lovely waitress stands out as the only person who was friendly to us..can’t recall her name but know she has 6children...she was fabulous!
The rules about the bar use changed every night! One night it was use the app(which was broken), another it was you can only get a drink if you reserve a table first and the next we just got a drink! Loved the area but would not be rushing back to this park.

Having never been to a hobourne before, we wasn't quite sure what to expect. But we needed have worried as it was brilliant. We came on a Friday after school, straight to reception, no queues checked in and in our lodge in 5 mins. Our lodge was massive and in an area where the kids could go and run about without disturbing anyone else. It was spotlessly clean, bit dated and in need of some paint, but over all very nice and tidy, and huge!
Booking entertainment slots is a bit rubbish, but hopefully as restrictions ease that will go, as it's a first come first serve basis, and as we never got there till 5 we were put on the reserve list for Friday, however, some families never turned up(Shocking)so we managed to get a table.
Drinks and food are reasonably priced. £40 for a family of 4 with drinks. Menu is very limited, which again I assume is down to Covid, but what we did eat was very nice and value for money. Special shout out to Malachi in the restaurant, who every day made the effort to speak to me,my mom and my son and daughter, who thought he was brilliant. Great customer service!
Outside pool was awesome, it's heated and the sun came out, kids really enjoyed it, inside pool was fun too, just had to wait 30 mins to get in there ( covid we've all had enough now) . Arcade needs looking into, only 1 thing worked, which saved me a fortune Haha!!
Overall we had a great time at hobourne. Would defo Recommend going there, we will be returning!

Dear Kelly C, Thank you for leaving your feedback following your recent visit to Hoburne Cotswolds, I’m thrilled to hear you had a fabulous time during your stay, the outdoor pool in particular looks brilliant overlooking the lake when the sun comes out. I have forwarded your feedback to our team member Malachi who was happy to receive your praise. We have changed the way we operate our entertainment, we no longer pre-book a slot, our guests can just turn up on the evening, this is to combat many people booking slots and not turning up. I hope you can come back to visit us soon. Kind Regards,

My partner and I spent 3 nights here after our holiday abroad was cancelled this year. Having read some negative reviews and still being in a global pandemic, I was slightly anxious about what to expect from the visit but my expectations were exceeded from beginning to end. Check-in is unfortunately not until 5pm to allow for extra cleaning time (totally understandable) but when we arrived at 4.30 we were given our keys and went straight to our Select Caravan overlooking Mallard Lake. It was spacious, modern and clean. We still chose to wipe down all of the surfaces and wash all utensils before use, but this was mostly for our own piece of mind. Yes the outside was a little dirty and there were cobwebs but I'm not sure why people get too bothered about this - it's a caravan! The standard of finish in our caravan was exceptional and many things were better than our actual home! Maybe we were lucky with the caravan we were allocated, we will never know.

The setting of the site is tranquil and peaceful. All staff we encountered were very friendly. We visited the restaurant once which was a little soulless, but no different to what you would get in a dining hall on an all inclusive holiday abroad. The food was good and reasonably priced. We didn't experience the entertainment as we had visited to explore the beautiful area of the Cotswolds and spent the evenings in our caravan, although from previous Hoburne holidays as a child, I'm sure Sammy and the team continued to put in a huge effort to do entertain guests.

If you visit remembering there is still a pandemic going on and you are on a caravan park, you will have an excellent time - we saw nothing of what is mentioned in the negative reviews. We would love to return. Thank you Hoburne for allowing us to have a relaxing and memorable holiday even in 2020!

This is one of the worst place we ever stayed. The lodges are very basic, there is nothing inside. There is not even a bin in the toilettes, nor a hair dryer or a hoover. They didn’t even put few things to welcome you like a dish tablets or a hand soap. There isn’t also a proper drying rack for clothes. They put something tiny that you hang on a door. The beds are so uncomfortable that you cannot have a good sleep. In the kitchen there is not enough pans. Everything is lacking and cheap inside the lodge. The service is awful and quasi inexistant. We asked 3 times in the morning for them to change the bed They finally brought it late at night after my kids went to bed. Also there is nothing to do especially when it rains. Only an indoor pool for which you can only book a 1 hour slot and you cannot book it online or by phone. You have to go to the pool reception which is not convenient for families with young kids and when it rains. The food in the cafe is also awful. Even frozen food you buy from the supermarket is nicer than that. The only positive thing was the hot tub in our lodge but that alone wasn’t sufficient. We booked a one week holiday but realised that we are much better in our home and decided to cut it short and returned earlier. I usually don’t take time to write reviews but this was so bad that no one should spend moneys for holidays like this. Honestly, you would be better staying in your home. This isn’t something that we expect from a holiday.

Dear 617ozlenb Thank you for your feedback regarding your break with us here at the Cotswold. It’s disappointing to hear the issues that you faced whilst on holiday in which the general manager had a lengthy call with you whilst you were here on park. We hope that you arrived home safely when you checked out with us.

Upon arrival we found the driveway unfinished and the view from what would have been the hot tub was nothing more than a muddy construction site.
This was the first we knew of any work going on, nothing on your website, no email, no phone call, not even any mention of it at our check in.

After complaining we got offered a down grade with no hot tub but as a sweetener were offered a full refund. Unfortunately the downgraded static was positioned very close to one of the main roads which is very busy and noisy from 6am!

Despite being moved away from the main construction we did experience one of our neighbours completing renovation on his drive area. A Stihl saw and wacker plate isn’t relaxing at 8am.

The site shop was closed until Feb 2020 and the restaurant quality could be better.

There’s not much scope for picturesque walks around the site and the only safe way of leaving the site is by car due to the fast roads and limited paths.

The staff are friendly and the pool is clean, warm and child friendly.

The caravan was modern and spacious. A few issues have been raised with staff regarding wear and tear of some items. Glasses/cutlery needs to be better cleaned.

Upon checking out early we did experience a problem in getting the full refund however this was resolved eventually.

Overall the site isn’t customer ready especially the top end statics with hot tubs. My advice is to check before you book and get written confirmation that your not going to be sat in the middle of a construction site.

Credit had to be given to manager Josh for taking the time to contact me address a few issues.

Visited for long weekend. Lodge was tired and needed a good spring clean - cobwebs and marks on walls etc. Bedding and towels were clean and beds were comfortable. No hairdryers which was strange!
Booking slots for swimming was fairly easy but you could only book during certain times. Guests frequently not wearing face masks inside and staff not challenging them.
Nice outdoor playgrounds and crazy golf.
It was ok, we left a night early because of the 9am check out. I understand the change in check in / check out times but this shortened our break which was disappointing.
Wouldn’t go back, but it was ok.

Came here on a Monday to Friday Break after an initial mix up regarding our accommodation which was sorted effectively by Sarah who went above and beyond to rectify the issue. The deluxe lodge with hot tub was very clean and spacious although there was construction work going on which was a bit noisy. Took my granddaughter to the pool which she loved. Ate at both the cafe and restaurant food was good and reasonably priced again the staff were very attentive. Really enjoyed our break.

This is an honest review.
We had a nice few days away with family. We had 4 different caravans booked with hobourne as a large family, all of which were generally well kept clean and tidy. We met family and this site was ideal being in the middle of all of us!
My main gripe was the fact that it’s a dog friendly site, one of the main reasons for booking! However dogs are not allowed anywhere in the main central hub area? Something which is not highlighted when making a booking! This limited us to getting together as a family. We have been to lots of dog friendly sites where dogs are allowed everywhere. I accept food areas being a no but the bar area? For this reason alone I not come back.
Reception were polite, quick and efficient checking us in.
The pool was lovely and warm and well kept. Lifeguards friendly and polite. The soft play was although small, great for the age of our kids.
The lakes were flooded obviously with all the bad weather and it being a water park so this meant limited waking on site but that’s not the parks fault. There was a lot of litter around the lakes edges something that I feel could be cleaned more often and is obviously not a main priority. Not great with the amount of wildlife around.
We had some food in the restaurant which was fairly average but ok!
Overall it was nice enough but felt abit stuck with not wanting to leave the dog, something to bare in mind if you are staying with your furry friend.

We are pleased to hear that your accommodation was clean and tidy and that your check in was efficient. We are delighted that the children enjoyed the use of the pool and the soft play. We have several dog friendly units on park , and do state in our booking terms and conditions that dogs are not allowed in the complex, however we do allow dog owners to walk their dogs through Reception to the sun deck. We hope to see you again soon in the near future.

Sam and bar staff friendly other reception staff not so. Arr 1st monday after lockdown. On plus side received refund for closed areas. Location good. Accommodation had cursary clean. Coveted in spiders webs externally could have done with power wash as could decking furniture - dirty and unusable. Fridge missing shelves, no cafetiere no oven gloves. Dishwasher could have done with clean and some dishes and cutlery had dried food. Lodge needs TLC and updating. Hoburne app pretty useless. We did enjoy our holiday despite all but site need some care
Would we come again probably not to this site. Shame as it could be lovely given the tranquil location.

So we booked a two bedroom lodge without a hot tub , although some with hot tubs were cheaper we don't use it so we selected a nice lodge for us and out two children( age 8 and 10). This had been booked for at least 6 months prior to our visit.

A week before we were advised that check in was now 5 for anyone without a hot tub(???) But we could try earlier and were free to use the facilities. We arrived at about 3.30 the car park was rammed, I thought we would let reception know we were there and see if there was any chance of earlier check in , the receptionist advised there wasnt as they were behind unless we had booked a hot tub. So I asked the receptionist if there was anywhere else we could park as there was no room I the car park she said no if we could have found somewhere to park, we could use the facilities but the pool was closed due to a problem and the outdoor pool had limited numbers due to the amount of people trying to get in, irrelevant as we couldnt park.

At 5pm the lodge was still not available, however a male served us and was very helpful, so much more efficient than the previous receptionists. By 5.30pm the lodge was ready and the man apologised again.

The lodge itself was lovely , a few issues but nothing major, pants left in draw, grill not cleaned ,stained bed linen ( clean but stained) lights not working over the decking bedside lighting not working, not massive issues but not confident of cleanliness in times where covid cleaning was supposed to have taken place it definitely hadn't.

Found over visits to the centre that staff were probably new but not well trained. My son asked a receptionist about the price of an item in the cabinet and the receptionist said go round the corner they have stock. It's their holiday too , my children ask politely with please and thank yous he was not treated with the same respect and didnt bother spending his holiday money here he used it off site.

Ice cream portions ridiculous for the price, four tubs was £7+ the portion was little more than a teaspoon. I don't expect a mountain but that would have been lost even in a cone!!

The pool, a godsend in the heat but, kids unsupervised were making life a misery for others and despite lifeguards blowing whistle numerous times they just carried on several families left the pool area because of this.

Swan pedalo were great £10 half hour if you can pedal that long but you need to book kids enjoyed crazy golf £10 for 4 people but we did go round twice.

Restuarant was closed we ordered at bar but menu was very very limited.

Not our kind of site or staff, not a patch on Naish lots needed to be done to be anywhere near their standard.
