Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at Treasure Trove for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The host, Reena, was very attentive and helpful. She prepared tasty Kerala food for us, both veg and non veg. The cottages are clean and the interior as well as the attached balcony creates a cozy atmosphere. It is a quiet place and ideal for families to enjoy a relaxed time.

We stayed at Treasure Trove for 3 nights over New Year. The two cottages are located at the edge of a coffee plantation with great balcony views into the forest. They are basically furnished and spotlessly clean with hot water on demand. The complimentary breakfasts were plentiful and tasty with a different option each day of our stay. The hostess provided simple evening meals for 100INR per person which were good value. The wifi was only available at the main house some 200m from each cottage so the kids spent most evenings on the terrace by the main house downloading films. Recommended.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Treasure Trove for two nights and had a really nice, peaceful time surrounded by nature. We stayed in a beautiful cottage with a lovely terrace overlooking the coffee plantation. The hosts were really kind and helpful and the food served to us was delicious. Recommended!

Arriving into India this was our first stop for 2 nights on this journey through Southern India. A calm, oasis with birds, and butterflies around the cottage. You stay here because of the rustic nature of the accommodation and the way it evokes Swiss family Robinson but it is also interesting to see the rubber and coffee first hand. We had problems with our hot water supply and this was swiftly and efficiently sorted out with no fuss whatsoever. Great breakfast and interesting conversation added to the pleasure of this homestay.

Located in a calm and quiet place, cottages are well maintained and spacious. We stayed with our family for 3 nights, host Ms. Reena is very cordial and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Really tasty breakfast and dinner and was made according to our wishes. Access by public transport is difficult and you really need a car. In our case, we arranged a taxi through Ms. Reena and she gave good tips on where to visit and made our planning easier. We visited in December and the weather was great.

We stayed at treasure troves for 2 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. The wooden cottage is the main attraction for this place, surrounded with lush green coffee plantations and such a nice feeling in the morning when the birds are chirping at the top of your head.(of course there is a ceiling inside the cottage:). The place is silent and peaceful away from the busy city life and perfect getaway to relax . No complains! Thank you Sunil and Reena for the awesome food we had during our stay. Your jack fruit halwa needs no introduction. Simply Amazing! Would love to visit again on our next trip! Thank you and keep it up!

Treasure Trove is a pleasant stay if one wants to be away from the hustle bustle of the city life. Beautiful and comfortable cottages open up to lush green surroundings and host Reena is warm and welcoming. One is treated with amazing food at the homestay by Reena. One can jus be at the homestay, enjoy village walking, reading or writing. Home away from Home and would love to go back again and stay longer!

We stayed at Treasure Trove for two nights during our three week Honeymoon in beautiful Kerala. Our individual wooden bungalow, built on stilts, was charming, set on the edge of a coffee plantation. Reena’s dinners and breakfasts in the Kerala style were delicious. We had also booked a wonderful guide called Sabu for two days touring and trekking in the Wayanad National Park. Our only regret was that we didn’t book to stay longer at Treasure Trove in order to chill out in their wonderful surroundings. Treasure Trove is not a Hotel! It is a lovely, personally run, beautiful Homestay. Thank you Reena and Sunil for looking after us so well. Fondest regards, Mike and Sian from Wales, UK.

This place is breathtaking! It’s lush, green, and absolutely magical in the rain. Came her for our honeymoon & travels after getting married in Bangalore. Sunil & Reena are amazing hosts. They are such warm & inviting people. Reena’s cooking is to die for! She introduced us to such great local cuisine. Her jackfruit halva and yummy dishes were incredible! Couldn’t have imagined staying anywhere else! The bungalows are private and offer a peaceful retreat for anyone looking to get away and be surrounded by nature. Sunil arranged for a local driver to take us on our adventures as we explored caves, went on safari, saw scenic views, and got lunch. My husband & I will definitely come back & recommend this place to our friends and family.
