Can't really say much bad but can't really say a lot much better other than average. The reception upon arrival was ok but not much dialogue, and the waiter which I believe was the owner also appeared fairly unmotivated. OK food in the evening but the breakfast was awful, being totally dry. see picture. Ok but could be so much...

Took the family for Thursday steak night, Food was excellent with all steaks prepared exactly as ordered, family agreed it was a delicious meal. Lovely open fire burning on a cold winter night to create a welcome homely atmosphere.

Stayed for one night for a trip to Bath. Lovely property with character, warm and cosy look from the outside. Lovely room comfortable, warm and spacious and a view over many fields. Quiet at night. Breakfast was good too.

We stayed for just one night at the Bodkin House Hotel and really enjoyed it. We went with friends and had adjoining rooms, both of which were really spacious, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. They were overlooking the road and there was a little traffic noise but the windows are double glazed and cut out a lot of it....

My wife and I wanted to visit Westonbirt arboretum to catch the Autumn colours. A friend recommended 'the Bodkin' in Petty France (A46) near Badminton. An ideal location for what we required. We booked a special deal 2 night stay for the 25th/26th October, dinner bed & breakfast £99.95 per night. We had a lovely large room with en suite...

Wonderful warm welcome on arrival. Very clean and comfortable large room. The initial concern about road noise came to nothing when the secondary glazing was closed over. The owners were very helpful and accommodating - nothing seemed too much trouble and they always checked that everything was alright for you. The Bodkin Breakfast was very filling and the food at...

We came for a family Sunday lunch. Despite the fact it wasn't busy when we ate, we had to wait almost an hour for the food. When it arrived the portions were absolutely tiny and the food was either bland, soggy or too salty. Lovely environment but definitely not worth the money

Very nice superior room which was very spacious as was the bathroom. The room was on the front of the hotel so there was some traffic noise but nothing too intrusive. Stayed for just one night but had a very enjoyable evening meal in the bar. Full English breakfast was also very nice. Nice outside patio area so ideal for a...

Although we originally booked this through another website, Bodkin actually had a better deal on their own website. So that's what we went for. After booking we then found out they had also been part of one of the Hotel Inspectors jaunts, which to be fair made us feel a little uneasy. However using the old line of 'you cannot...
