THANK YOU!!! Just to say that we had a wonderful stay at your hotel on Wednesday night. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable – Steve was very impressed with his room - no 5, and we nicknamed him Lord for the stay! Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious and all of the staff were friendly, polite...

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. The area was lovely, it was quiet and all the staff were friendly. The breakfast was of a good size, lots of choice and very tasty. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite. We couldn't fault any of them. The bathroom was a little dated and could have done with...

The hotel is part refurbished, unfortunately we were in rooms in the old part of the hotel. Rooms are basic, scruffy and needing an upgrade but clean. Food was adequate, some bits were good, some OK. Lovely setting and very nice staff, just a bit rough round the edges.

We stayed here for the night on the way to our New Year holiday in Torquay. We were given a lovely welcome by Reception and had been upgraded to a superior room. A lovely big room with two windows looking over the hills. We arrived ready for a bite to eat and when I asked if there were any crisps...

Group of us stayed for the 2 night New Years Eve Package. We all had recently refurbished rooms in the main building, everything was very clean complete with a nice new shiny bathroom. Food was good and the New Years celebration in the marquee was excellent. Would also like to add how hard the staff worked the whole time we...

Stayed for 1 night. Room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Very clean with all the amenities you need to make your stay easier. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the 2 ladies at breakfast on the 2nd January and the receptionist who checked us in. My daughter has dietary needs and these were catered for by the hotel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
‘Contemporary country house with the Cotswolds warmest welcome’ Set high on an escarpment overlooking the Severn Vale this 45 bedroom country house hotel lies between the Cathedral City of Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham. Hatton Court provides the right balance between traditional hotel service and all the benefits you would expect from a contemporary hotel. The Tara Restaurant is renowned locally. It is an ideal place from which to explore the Cotswolds. Hatton Court is a reassuring size; not large and impersonal, nor too small. As a former splendid Cotswold home the feeling is of being eminently comfortable as opposed to grand. Nothing is hurried. The reception is very much a lounge, with leather sofas, magazines and an open fireplace for those chillier days. Next door the bar is more a place to relax, take tea, read and talk than to rush. The care taken to prepare the food, combined with a smiling service, is complemented by the thought that has gone into creating the Tara Restaurant. Fully refurbished in late 2009 the natural colours and soft lighting make a relaxing environment for friends and relations to enjoy each other’s company. Private dining facilities are available in the equally well appointed Cotswold Room. The peace of the surrounding countryside and comfortable bedrooms, some with whirlpool baths, make for a good night’s sleep ready for another day exploring the Cotswolds. ... more   less
