Very disappointed to be given. Whipped cream with our scones. Bowden hall advertise clotted cream and therefore should be given it. Also sandwiches were very nice but lots of salmon ones. Since my friend does not like salmon i had to eat them all. Some egg and cress would

We stayed here for 1 night and although we messed the booking date up the hotel could not have been more helpful even though it was our mistake. The management told us not to worry and go and have a drink while they sorted this out. They did exactly that. We had great drinks in

Stayed her for business and found the hotel a bit run down and in need of refurbishment. The room was large but far too warm, even with the radiator turned off. This radiator made a noise throughout the night, and the light from the hallway lit the entire room through the gaps.

Dear 795stuartn Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review following your recent stay at the hotel for the Conference of IIOM. I am sorry to hear that you feel that the hotel is run down and the refurbishment that was completed in 2018 was not reflected in your comments. The hotel heating is controlled by the individual rooms however following your feedback I have asked Housekeeping to ensure that the heating is turned to 1 on every departure room allowing for the guests to heat the rooms themselves on arrival. I am sorry to read that you shower knob fell off on operating this is very uncommon and I have asked my maintenance team to have a look at the bedroom you stayed in as this was not mentioned on your departure. I wish you all the best in your future stays Regards Gavin

Dear Vems91, Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. I will recently investigate your comments regarding the local info pack as there should be a Gloucester Book in each room with attractions and places to visit. We do seem to be having an issue currently with Air entering the heating system which is causing the radiators to be noisier than normal we hope to have got to the bottom of this now. I will feedback your comments relating to the food portions to our company F&B Director for review ready for the Spring/ Summer menu. Kind regards Gavin

Its set at the edge of a village in a very rural spot. You can walk through the village to a rather nice pub on the other side. Alternatively there are country walks into the hills behind the hotel. If you have a car you can drive into Gloucester or Cheltenham or into the Cotswolds. Prinknash Abbey is close by which has a lovely animal and bird park. Lots of lovely country pubs and restaurants in the area as well
