Very comfortable and friendly pub. Everything a pub should be. Very accommodating to my wife's sever gluten allergy and they had GF meat pies. This is virtually unheard of and she was in heaven. Rest of menu is diverse and very very good. Attractive rooms. Be sure to read the blackboard in the gents near the bar--hilarious.

One of if not the nicest Inn/Pub/Restaurants I've ever eaten in. Truly! From the minute we walked in the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The music choice was fabulous (a sucker for a bit of Jack Johnson!). The food was delicious, they really do have the nicest pies ever!

Stopped here to ask directions to May Hill and the smell of the pies was so tempting, went back for lunch after our walk! Had a great lunch - lovely steak & Guinness pies, chips and peas. Washed down with a lovely Scottish stout, Spanish lager and wine (between us!). Staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely go again...

Spotlessly clean accommodation and very comfortable. Would highly recommend the Farmers Boy Inn. The breakfast was excellent with perfect scrambled eggs, the next time I stay I will try one of their home made pies.

Arrive with my wife and 80+yr old mother, and no booking. They were very busy but accommodated us with ease. We felt welcome from the first point of contact. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The menu is varied and should cater for all tastes. Food was quickly prepared, served hot and nicely presented. Most importantly, tasted good....

Booked the Farmers Boy just a week before our stay on 29th April 2017. Darren called in the week to ask if we would like to book a table as the restaurant was filling up fast. What a thoughtful touch and he was right we wouldn't have got a table otherwise !. The staff were friendly and welcoming the food...

We stayed here Saturday night. This was a very rare night away for us. As foster carers we seldom get time alone. We arrived in the afternoon and was shown to our room. It was pleasant and comfortable. We had our evening meal at The Farmers Boy. My husband had a pie. He said it was absolutely delicious. We had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
