We chose this inn to stay on our return journey home. The courtyard room was modern and clean , bed very comfortable. From the moment we arrived to check in the staff were very helpful and hospitable ,a big bonus. The whole décor of the inn is so welcoming and joyful - it definitely gives that good feel factor. The...

We had a very nice overnight stay in one of the courtyard cottages. Room was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely meal including one of the gourmet pies! The pub had a lovely atmosphere, nicely decorated and had some nice features. A very nice experience...

Busy for a Sunday evening but service as good as ever. We had a voucher offering a discount - as ever we hadn't read the T&Cs - staff member noticed and kindly guided us through what was applicable. Food was excellent and we would have happily paid full price, but very nice to get reduction.

An Inn with just eight rooms in a purpose built block. The rooms are nothing special but all the essentials are there. Double bed was large and comfortable (two three quarters bolted together). Small flat screen TV with Freeview channels. Tea and coffee making facilities. Small wardrobe. Small bathroom but excellent shower ...large with thermostatic controls. Lashings of hot water....

Lots of positives about the Farmers Boy, first up Darren, who was a credit to the establishment, very friendly and efficient, the pub is a smashing traditional place very comfy with a good ambience and selection of beers. The restaurant was far superior to most chain type pubs with home cooked food that had some imagination, also don't forget the...

Just back from a wonderful 2 night stay at this lovely place. The rooms were chalet style in a little sun trapped courtyard so no noise from the pub on a night and the beds were extremely comfortable. Slept so well both nights. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful, especially Luke who looked after us extremely well! The...

........although a small negative first. I thought the room could only really be described as adequate. That said I felt it was a fair B+B rate so we got what we paid for. Now the positives. This pub, restaurant and other aspects are clearly well managed. The staff are one of the establishment's best points and they clearly enjoy working...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
