We stayed 2 nights at the Court House last month. On arrival the key was not in the arranged collection place. After looking around for someone to ask, I had to knock on the door of the Manor House and the owner went off in his car to find his wife whilst we waited in the car for him to...

Spectacular estate with stunning view across the south Gloucestershire countryside A number of cottages are dotted about the estate to stay in and all are reasonably well equipped and unique in their own style. There is a good pub in walking distance in Uley offering standard pub food and a lovely local shop in the same location The estate has...

The area around Owlpen is a true English idyll, with wonderful walks, a great pub and sweet village shop within walking distance, easy access to many local treasures (Uley Bury, Tetbury, Badminton Horse Trials, Berkely Castle, Cirencester, the Corinium Museum, Newark Park, Dyrham and many more). We found everything we needed, including a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The bedrooms are...

I was looking for a last minute weekend break and I knew that Owlpen was a beautiful area, but my stay was even better than I'd expected. Karin was so helpful and when I arrived her son Hugo and his wife were really charming and helpful too. The cottage is beautiful in idealic surroundings, they had put the heating on...

We had a delightful stay at Owlpen Manor. We were 4 adults and 2 small children. We stayed in Marlings End, one of the 8 cottages at Owlpen Manor Estate. It turned out yo be a perfect cottage for a family holiday. We walked in the beautiful autumn woods, and at night we sat around the open log fire. One...

We stayed at the old Court House which was just what we (two adults) were after. A cosy cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside, lovely walks and the many pubs and villages of the Cotswolds on the doorstep. The Court House is not huge and the stairs are steep but this was made clear in the description on the website and...

Eighteen of us and our springer spaniel gathered for a family celebration, renting four cottages. We chose Owlpen Manor as its location is so good for travelling from all over the UK and Australia. Those arriving at Heathrow could just get on the train from Paddington and be collected at Stroud. We weren't sure how much space there was to...

We booked a week at Dukes Byre/Summerhill Cottage at short notice which meant we turned up a day after check in day. We were not offered a discount. Despite a phone call and text to the owners we received no communication from them and only managed to get the keys because someone happened to be passing the office and told...

We are deeply sorry that our guests had a stay at Owlpen that did not meet their usual high standards. They had booked through an agency whom we no longer work with, as we found that they were not communicating with guests effectively which meant that they did not have the correct information, but nor would they leet us communicate...

I stayed one week in the cottage Peter's Nest. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is enough space for one (or two) person(s). The cottage contains all I needed (furniture, cooking, free WIFI, etc.), and there is much space in the cottage and in the garden around. Only the bathroom is height limiting (around 1m85). The cottage is located...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer holiday cottages in this magical Cotswold valley, which has long been recognised as one of the most romantic places in England. Come and relax in our nine Cotswold holiday cottages which sleep from two to eight guests (38 in total for larger groups). The cottages range from listed buildings and farmhouses to small romantic one-bed woodland retreats and a studio apartment, so there is something for everyone! At the centre of this secluded Cotswold valley is Owlpen Manor house, a medieval manor house which is lived in by the Mander family, and is described as "the loveliest place in England". We manage all of the properties ourselves, and like to feel that our guests are coming to stay with us when they arrive in this perfect corner of the Cotswolds. ... more   less
