Hosts Ismayanti and Gordon are the most welcoming caring and beautiful people. The staff were professional and friendly and welcoming also. We had never been to this part of Bali before and we are so glad we have now. A must for the buckets list...More
Kelapa apparently means coconut in Bahasa and this small resort has ten or so villas nestled in beautifully landscaped (coconut) trees and lawns running down to a black sand beach which is probably God's own country for dedicated surfers.
The resort is fairly remote on...More

I agree with the other responses it is at least a 3 hour trip from the airport could be a bit longer depending on the time of day and traffic. But definitely worth it. Best to arrange transport through the resort. There is a a commercial/service area back on the main road which takes a good 40 minutes to walk (or get transport through the front desk) to and it has a whole range of shops and service businesses. It is 100% local and not tailored to the tourist market. A tip we took a trip via the back roads through the hill country and lake district to our next stop Ubud. You get to see real Bali. It took about 6 hours and was very winding and up and down but worth it. Kelapa was the highlight of our trip, loved it.
