Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This B& B is in a quiet an beautiful location about 15 minutes drive before Ullapool. Stephen and Margaret are great hosts that can provide a two course dinner if needed for a relatively small extra cost. We took advantage of this and saved us from trying to find somewhere to eat in Ullapool on a Saturday night. Large rooms that are well appointed. Thanks for a great overnight stay!

Lovely and comfortable, well appointed, quality accommodation. Great welcoming hosts who, incidentally, make the very best coffee in Scotland! Breakfast was on time, superb quality and perfectly cooked. All served in the spacious conservatory with a pretty good view. There is a lounge with plenty of books, magazines, a TV and comfy sofas - just in case you are bored with the Scottish scenery! The only thing I would say, and this is nit picking... Plastic cups in the room when you have a Smeg kettle and decent size China mugs were out of place. And being on the rounder figure, the fluffy towels could do to be a bit bigger.

What a treat to find this special spot! As Margaret, the owner along with her husband Stephen, said, the only noise you will hear are the chickens and the nearby sheep. We were met enthusiastically by Stephen and taken to our room, they all have names and are unique. We had the Miss Rose, which was very comfy and had lovely well appointed furnishings. The bed and linens were exceptional and the pillows perfect! The bathroom was great and had both a shower and tub. Towels were thick and large. Details like different teas and coffee in the room were a nice touch The home itself was amazing. The four bedrooms upstairs, the comfortable sitting/ lounge area for guests was well appointed with tv etc and books were at every turn throughout the home. Breakfast was in a newly added room with views on three sides, nice and sunny and a view of the gardens and sure area. Breakfast itself was delicious and as filling as you wanted. The pour over coffee was perfect, Stephen being the master of that! We had dinner one night and it was really excellent and filling. They spend a lot of time on cooking exceptional food. I have kitchen envy, lots of great appliances and space. I would wholeheartedly recommend this delightful bed and breakfast, it is a memorable experience both for the hosts, who are welcoming and engaging and work together and the well appointed home for a place we would love to return to and stay.

Luxury B&B that was still a WIP when we stayed. The bedrooms are beautifully finished, with views that will take your breathe away. The new conservatory was still being built.....but you wouldn't know it. Its very quiet. Its very very comfortable. The rooms have everything you might need, but there's also a guest sitting room with huge choice of books, games, WiFi and an 80" TV ...if you must. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Attentive considerate hosts. ...and if you're lucky enough to arrive on an evening when they're offering a dinner....enjoy it, especially the gelato. Make no mistake: this is The Place to Stay in Ullapool: its an easy 10 mins into the town....only this place is much more welcoming. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is a great place to stay - the location is spectacular and could not be better for hillwalkers. The room we had was beautiful with a huge comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom. We had dinner - home made and delicious, as was the breakfast. Recommended!

Had a wonderful nights stay at Clachan Garden with Margaret & Stephen. We had the double room which had the most comfiest of beds and a great ensuite (which had only just been fitted ) – everything in the room was of a high standard. We just had breakfast which was delicious with local / homegrown produce. We will go back to stay here again and next time will have dinner as from reading the comments left in the guest book we missed out! Thanks for letting us stay with you !

A truly beautiful setting, and a luxurious stay. I can’t praise this place enough. Very welcoming, gated yard to park the bikes, made a lovely Thai curry for us, with homemade gelato desert, full cooked breakfast, home made bread for toast. Simply superb. Treat yourself!

Absolutely exceptional! We booked this B&B on a weekend trip to Ullapool and Torridon. Margaret and Steven were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay for us. We had dinner at the B&B which was restaurant-level dining, and the breakfast was equally delicious with local and home-grown produce. The en-suite double room was perfect, very comfortable and no noise. Clachan Garden is a very peaceful and wholesome place. We will be back!
